Easily the best camera for the price. Great quality footage, decent battery life and quick to use.
So I haven't long had my camera so I haven't given it a proper thrashing yet. But, so far so good with it. And I reckon you wont find better for the price. 1) IMAGE QUALITY: The video and picture quality is pretty impressive. It is also true 4k quality at 30fps meaning it actually records in 4k, unlike slightly lower priced so called "4k" cameras like Apeman which record in 1080p and then digitally enhance to 4k which doesn't work to well when you go faster than walking. The image stabilization is also very impressive. I bought this because I ride a motorbike and do packrafting so I was expecting loads of lag and frame jumps, but it actually does really well in providing a stable smooth image. Again, you wont get go-pro perfect quality, the same way you wont get ferarri speed and build quality with an Audi. But like with Audi you still get really good quality. Its still very impressive videos, perfect for vloggers, youtube artists or people like me just starting out and want to record their advenutres. Oh and you can attach an external mic, but not when the waterproof case is on. 2) BUILD: A few reviews seem to suggest that it feels light weight and plasticy but I disagree. Firstly you don't want it to be heavy!! Secondly it's actually not a bad feel, yes plasticy but it is made out of injection moulded plastic, and still seems sturdy. Plus it comes with the protective waterproof case, which not only makes it waterproof but also adds an addtional layer of protect. And the advantage is the waterproof case doesn't add much on to the size either. Also bare in mind it is not waterproof or considered splashproof without the case so unless you live somewhere it doesn't rain (im in the North of the UK so it does.... A lot!) then i'd advise basically leaving it in the case. 3)BATTERY: The battery life is decent, between 60-90mins per battery (it comes with 2), depending on what settings you are using (same with any action camera). Mine usually lasts around the 90 minute mark as I make sure things like voice command, wifi and other things are turned off. Plus buying addtional batteries are cheap enough and they are nice, small and easy to store. 4)ACCESSORIES: it comes with loads of accessories, most for attaching to things like bike handlebars, helmets etc, but it also inclduing a handy wrist handy remote with large enough buttons that, for example you are wearing motorbike gloves, they are easy to push when you want to start and stop a video or photo. And if like me you have your camera on the front of your packraft then you dont need to climb over to start and stop it. As mentioned it also comes with the waterproof case, and a spare door for it just in case. 5)DOWNSIDES: In all honesty there are almost none. Yes they could have provided 60fps in 4k, but this would have most likely involved production cost increase resulting in a price increase. The same can be said if they'd put thin protective rubber coating to make it feel nicer or made it IP67 without the case. However my only 2 gripes, is the battery door hinge feels a little flimsy. When it is closed it is fine, but you wouldn't want to knock or drop it when the door is open as it feels like it would easily snap the door off. So just be careful when changing batteries. Also I damaged my waterproof case (sadly not something the spare door could fix), and finding a replacement for the brave 6 pro seems to be proving very difficult. However I emailed AKASO and they are trying to source me a replacement. Most other action cameras have stolen the gopro design so you can use the gopro case. Where as the brave 6 pro has a different button configuration so the replacment case can be hard to find since you can only use a specific brave 6 pro one. This is definetly a problem for me since I go near water a lot.

Good solid camera but limited battery life
Been using this for some time now and i like it. It my first action camera so i have nothing to compare it against but its easy to use and takes good video. I use it on my road cycling rides to capture any incidents with inconsiderate drivers. The only dissapiointment is that the batteries do nto last anywhere near long enough. I probably get an hour of video before the camer dies.

A competent action camera that’s remarkably good value.
This was bought mostly to be used as a rear facing bicycle camera. I already had a GoPro Hero 9 Black used front mounted, which on the face of it costs about 3 times as much. Taking into account that the Akaso comes as part of a comprehensive kit, and the GoPro is sold as a basic camera that most users would need to buy extras for, the Gopro is actually about 4 times as expensive. It would not be fair therefore to expect the same quality and performance from the Akaso, but the temptation to compare exists. This Akaso is small, feels good quality, well designed and solid construction. It’s very flexible to use for almost any scenario with the wealth of clamps and waterproof case, all supplied. Even the waterproof case looks small and neat compared to some offerings. The camera cannot fit directly to any of the clamps, but the very neat Clip 2 securely adds a top and a base ¼” tripod boss. One minor drawback is that the camera needs to be unclipped to replace the battery, but that’s quite easy to do; no tools required. The menu with the touch screen and switches are easy to become familiar with, and there’s a good range of both video and photo quality including image stabilisation. Best is full HD +4K video at 30fps, 20 MP photos. The high end of both is very good, daylight videos and photos are excellent. Night videos are quite good and to have a bit better you would have to pay a lot more. Battery life is good after the initial couple of charges, over an hour is quite possible making video at the best quality, and with 2 batteries and twin charger supplied, many users won’t need extra batteries, although they are availa ble. Surprisingly at this price point, a remote control is supplied and there’s also voice control! Both perform well. WiFi and an app can be used for set up and other features. I would have liked to have seen a key supplied to tighten the thumbscrews. The GoPro key fits, but that is an expensive extra. If Akaso make a key I would advise using it for solid mounting. The only other extra I would consider adding to this comprehensive kit would be the external microphone for webcam use. For general use the internal mic gives adequate audio quality. My first camera was a GoPro, bought due to it’s reputation. The Akaso was bought as a second camera and I wanted much lower cost and didn’t expect top performance or quality. Th Akaso 6 plus kit far exceeded my expectations in almost every respect. I think it’s a great camera regardless of price. With the benefit of hindsight, I’d have this Akaso front and rear mounted; wouldn’t buy the ‘market leader’. I score this 5 stars for both value and ease of use. For performance and quality, 4½. Overall it punches well above it’s weight.

Excellent value for money.
I researched a lot of cameras before choosing the AKASO Brave 6 Plus. I spent hours reading reviews and watching YouTube videos comparing different cameras. After comparing GoPros with AKASOs, AKASOs with AKASOs and AKASOs with other budget cameras on Amazon, I went with this one. I'm happy with my choice. - The camera is well made. It feels far more expensive than it is. With the waterproof casing on, it feels like it can handle a bash. I can confirm the case is waterproof too. No problems being used in water. - The video quality (which is the main reason for getting an action cam in the first place) is great. I shoot in 1080p rather than 4K and I'm always happy with the results. - Stabilisation is about as good as you can expect for a camera in this range. - It records sound well, even in the waterproof casing, which didn't seem to be the case with other cameras. - Battery life is great (it comes with a spare battery in the box, which is handy). Not sure how long you get off a full charge, because I haven't let it go dead yet. But an hour solid of shooting didn't seem to make a huge dent in battery life. - The menu on the camera is easy to use. Though the AKASO app could do with some work. Connecting via WIFI isn't always straightforward and the connection often drops out. - Finally, you get all sorts of mounts and accessories in the box. All of which are well made. I never feel like an attachment is going to break or the camera is going to come loose. Just make sure to use the included spanner to get a tight connection. All in all, I'm well happy. If you want solid performance without shelling out a fortune, I'd say this camera is a safe bet.

Small faults but a good budget option for occasional footage
Have had this camera for a couple of months now and waited to write a review so I could give an honest review. It is a nice little action camera which does okay for what I need it for. Unfortunately there are a couple of issues which are annoying: 1. Trying to remove the battery is incredibly difficult and whilst I had read this in a review before purchasing, I didn't think it would matter too much. But actually trying to change battery without a knife available to fish it out is impossible. This defeats the object of being able to change the battery whilst out if one dies. I also feel like it'll damage the battery pretty soon. 2. SD card slot looks bent in mine. Not sure if it's just mine or if that's how it is in every model. It means that sometimes when attempting to insert the card instead of slotting into the SD card slot it slips down next to the battery and I have to shake the camera/remove the battery to get the SD card out and insert it in the right place. 3. SD card needs formatting every time you switch on the camera as well so if you're trying to switch on and start recording straight away to capture something quickly, you might miss it as you have to wait a couple of seconds when turning on every time. (Maybe an SD card issue or a camera issue - I can't tell which but my SD card also malfunctioned whilst in the camera when trying to transfer some amazing footage- resulting in the complete loss of that footage). 4. When filming long shots in the 4K setting the video skips every so often. This means I can't get good quality shots over longer than 3 minutes as the footage appears to jump/skip a couple of seconds. These issues aside, for the price it is a decent little bit of kit and comes with a good range of accessories. Video quality is good for being a budget camera (skipping aside) and the video stabilisation is also of a decent quality for a budget model.

Video quality good, stabilisation OK, and very good value for money.
14th Dec 2022 - Update -- After reading my original review below, Akaso got in contact and sent me a replacement camera. The replacement has better audio and also doesn't have the problem with the rubber flap covering the USB port not staying closed. The audio is still on the quiet side, but is at least OK for casual use - for more serious use you will need an external mic. All in all, the replacement camera works well and its hard to argue with the value for money, also Kudos to Akaso for getting in touch to sort out the problems. Upgraded review from 3 to 5 stars. -- For an inexpensive camera, the video quality is pretty decent and the image stabilisation is OK but no where near as good as GoPro. The user interface is good, plenty of features and a generous qualtity of mounts and accessories are included. Build quality seems pretty good overall but one annoyance is that the flap covering the USB connector doesn't stay closed. The audio is appalling, it is so quiet you can barely even hear it. I suspect that my camera may be faulty but upon contacting Akaso tech support, I was told "I should adjust my expectations of audio from such a small camera". Note also that the voice control feature doesn't work due to the very quiet audio. It works if I'm very close to the camera and shout at it, so essentially useless. If I needed audio, I would return this camera as not fit for purpose, but for my specific application (time lapse on a tripod) it doesn't matter.

Good for the price but spend a bit more money to buy a lot better!
I bought the Akaso Brave 6 Plus around Black Friday and paid £95 with a discount (usually £120) but had to buy the 64gb micro SD card separately for about £10 After lots of video reviews online comparing ‘budget action cameras’ the Akaso Brave 6 Plus seemed the best option for quality/price My first thing I’ll say is DO NOT CHANGE TO LESS THAN 4K30fps video!!! As soon as you drop that video quality, you may as well be filming on a vegetable. The 4K30fps with image stabilisation ON is pretty good and more than adequate for just capturing memories on holiday etc to look back on afterwards. The inbuilt microphone is good enough too so I’d rate the video quality 7.5/10 As for the still image camera that is apparently 20 megapixels, I’d just take still images on your phone if you have something like the iPhone 11 or newer as the Akaso definitely isn’t up to standard Another pro is how easy the camera is to use and the battery lasts a decent amount of time. You get two batteries in the box so can take a spare with you if you plan for longer filming. You get a lot of attachments in the box which you don’t get with the bigger brands like DJI and GoPro but at the end of the day, you aren’t buying a camera because you like a remote control wrist strap. My overall rating would be a 7/10 but with this being £120, I’d suggest spending a little bit more money for the new GoPro 4k 2024 at £180 or the DJI Osmo action 4 that is currently £199 if you are wanting a lot better image and video quality

Ausserdem unterstützt diese H265, was Speicherplatz spart.
