I got my Cobo Tablet yesterday. Very solid build (you could probably kill someone with it) and I had no problems with the screws. The screw driver that comes with it works, but get yourself a set of magnetized screwdrivers as it makes the process so much easier. From start to finish, it took me about 45 minutes. A quick couple of suggestions for installing the letters. 1.) Keep the adhesive layer on the letters as you go. Some will get loose and you don't want to lose them. 2.) Only remove the screws from one side at a time. 3.) Double, triple, quadruple check your words as you go along. The tiles can be hard to remove once they are in their slots. 4.) Watch which letters you use as blanks. Scan over your words and find the least used letters. Now, to all the one-star reviews saying there are only 4 letters per word and that the manufacturer does not indicate that: You probably should not be in cryptocurrency. You only need 4 letters to make the word, per the standard. That is the first 4 letters, not random abbreviations. As to the stripping of screws: Yes, the screws are small. However, most sets of screwdrivers come with the proper size for this. It's a common jeweler's screw size. Finally, I saw one review talking about removing the upper right screw that holds the entire set of plates together. You do not need to remove that. You just slide the one side out of the way, unscrew the side you are working one, close that side up, put all the screws back in and repeat.

After receiving this product, it was shown to be high quality; however, a few screws were stripped. I was able to get them out but cannot reuse them. The item came with four extra screws. It should have come with more. When getting ready to enter the seed, it was discovered that the four letter “cards” are numbered. I received two “1”s, one “2” and one “3”. I assume that there is a “4” that I did not get because I do not have the later letters of the alphabet. This makes entering my seed basically useless as I cannot properly record several seed words. Will try to get the “4” through the manufacturer and will update. Follow-up: Received a very prompt reply from manufacturer’s customer service who sent a unit within 2 days! Based on the quality of the product (despite the screws), I changed my review to a 5 star rating. They certainly stand by their product and have great customer services!

I purchased the Cobo Tablet Plus. I first purchased the COLDTI plates to store my seed, cheap. The only problem? That thing is freaking strong! I banged on it with a hammer a few times and realized that this was simply unpractical. Then I searched harder to a much easier device to use but would likely withstand a fire if my house burned down. I tried the Cobo Tablet Plus and it was significantly easier to use. No tools needed other than some screws. It feels really rock solid piece of metal that I have complete confidence will stand up in a fire. It also just feels really nice to hold in you hand too and has a smooth finish. You can secure it with a combo or key lock to deter quick peepers(though won't help if the tablet gets stolen). You could probably run over this thing with a car or larger and I highly doubt it would even appear to be phased. I compare it to armor on a light military vehicle. Overall I am extremely satisfied and It wasn't crazy expensive like some other ones. Simple to use and you can set it up in 10-20 minutes using the full word list. I really can't imagine this product getting much better.

Overall this product is great - I have no doubt that my recovery phrase is all but indestructible now. The only issue with this product was the difficulty in getting it opened the first time. Removing the first metal sheet that covers words 1-12 was easy enough - a bit tedious due to the number of screws to be removed, but it only has to be done once. Removing the second sheet was nearly impossible, and 9 screws just wouldn't come out. After about an hour of effort, I decided to bash the back of the tablet with the handle of a screwdriver and one of the screws loosened. A few more whacks and I was able to finish setting it up.

First off 4 chars is enough for Bip39 words. Some people say its not, but I did it. It was very easy to use. Well built and makes me feel secure about my backup. I unscrewed the plates, added the letter tiles, rescrewed them, closed and sealed the unit with tamper evident tape (supplied.) I'm also going to add a padlock to lock it. I still have to hide it though. I didnt test it with a blow torch or hydraulic press, but it seems pretty tuff. It should survive if the house burns down. Plus it's in a fire safe so I think I'm good. I'm buying another couple for other wallets. Only small issue I have is the swivel screw is a little tight which makes opening it hard and I put a scratch on a plate. It's like scratching a watch or cuff links. It bothers me, but doesn't affect the function. You can loosen the screw with an Allen wrench (not included)

I finally got around to actually setup this item. It was a bit hard to get all the letters onto the metal pieces, but it wasn't that bad. I was worried I wouldn't have enough letters but it was enough. I almost ran out of certain letters. This is a little pricey, but a nice way for long term storage. I also noticed there's a hole going through the two metal slabs, so I put a lock there. I assume it's the intended design. By the way, to install the letters, you do NOT need to fully disassemble the two metal slabs apart. Don't even try to or you'll damage it. Leave the bigger rivet alone and just unscrew the little Phillips screws.

Very solid! I no longer worry about losing my recovery seed phrases. Definitely study. Best product at a great price. I actually bought 2. I had a little trouble with one of them as the letters were not perfectly staying in place. I reached out to the company and they immediately shipped me a replacement! Great Customer Service! I am very happy with my first Cobos tablet, so I decided to order a second one because I needed to archive more seed words. When the second Cobos arrived, half the screws on one side (12 words) were un-screwable, so I could not open it to insert the letters. I ended up with only 12 words out of the 24 available in the tablet. Was I lucky the first time, or unlucky the second time?

Easy to use, with patience lol. If you've already got your seed pass words you may be short a letter or two. I had to create a new wallet with a new seed. I could've just etched the missing letter but I wanted it to look good. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to safely keep their seed.

Der Stahl ist echt guter Qualität!!!! Sehr empfehlenswert. Ich habe mit mienen beiden gekauften Tabletten es probiert, sie auf dem Boden fallen lassen (2 Meter) und sie haben gut ohne Mühe gehalten. Also ich weiß jetzt schon, dass mein Seed-Wort sicher dadrin ist. :)

I bought two of these, one for me and one for my sister. No instructions, so you're left to figure it out on your own or try thier website. The letters fall off the board and create a mess. Be careful , these little letters are sharp. Once the seed on page one is complete, dont forget to screw it down before page 2 of the seed. Other than that , it does what it advertises. Not sure how the box was damaged but I was not expecting that.

Ordered this product twice and the first time it arrived perfectly. The second time, I received the Cobo Tablet Punch, a similar but altogether different product. The third time, I received the correct item, but with two of the same sheets with the same letters, making it so that a full set of letters was missing. I resorted to etching the missing letters onto the blank backs of unused letters, but this sort of things should've been caught in QA.
