Love it! Very comfortable bike seat - just what I was looking for
After riding a bike for transportation in Costa Rica for a month I decided I needed a bike for home to do the same. I guess I was spoiled with the bike seats there, because when I got a bike I went through several and none were comfortable enough to ride on for longer trips (45 min is my usual commute). Initially what I really wanted was a huge soft cruiser seat. I have a really bad back and riding a bike can be rough on it and I also don't like having a sore butt after riding. I researched and read lots of reviews and decided on this one and I'm so glad I did. When I got it initially I was worried because I thought it would be nice and big, but it was actually smaller than my previous one. I quickly learned that the size of the seat is not what's important but where your "sit bones" hit the seat. I guess the wide seat was actually making it less comfortable and this one ended up being perfect! I'm pretty normal sized, 5'8" 130 pounds, hourglass kind of shape with bigger/average sized booty/thighs and smaller waist and this seat was just perfect for me. It's not too soft and not too hard. At first I thought I wanted a really big, really soft seat for comfort, but it turns out that a good fitting seat with the right support in the right areas and good suspension are what is important. Oh also how you have the seat adjusted! I had mine tilted in a weird way initially and when I adjusted it, it was so much better. I definitely recommend this seat for women around my size. I think it works best for a mountain bike, which is the kind of bike I ride. I like that it has enough room underneath it where the springs are that I can fit a medium sized chain through it to lock up the seat as well since bike seats in my town get stolen ALL the time. It's nice to feel secure that no one can take it easily. It has a standard adjustment, very simple to install even for me (and when I put a basic desk together it generally ends up either rocking or tilted so that's saying a lot).

Goldilocks right for Smaller Riders!
My wife and I started riding a pair of Velotric Discover Ebikes together last year. It's been a lot of fun. Some of the places we go can get somewhat bumpy so i decided to upgrade our seats to tame the trails a bit. First, I upgraded the seat post on my bike to a suspension unit and thought my ride was pretty comfortable. She on the other hand is petite so our choices of seat posts and /or seats were limited due to her 5' height and light ( 120'sh#) weight. . Turns out this seat , combined with a straight ended Azarxis suspension post did the trick. Not only did this combo allow me to set the seat low enough for her but the combination actually flexes and absorbs shock well for her. The seat especially is sized just right. Not to wide, not to narrow. Not too hard, not to soft. She now loves it and can get through our average 15-20 mi rides with allot less soreness. To be honest, I tried the combination and was amazed at how it too near all teh vibration and shock out of our bumpy street.

Comfortable seat when positioned properly
I bought this seat to replace my extremely hard original seat on my mountain bike. I covered it for many years with a gel seat cover. While it worked on okay on shorter rides, it got uncomfortable on longer rides over 10 miles or so. The seat covers also tend to wear out fairly quickly and slide about over time. The Sunlite Cloud-9 seat is similar to the ones installed on the stationary bikes in my spin class, which I find to be pretty comfortable. While it's not perfect (it is kind of hard despite being gel), the shape is what provides a great deal of relief on longer rides. It relieves pressure on the sensitive areas and does help absorb shocks. Note that it does not have a true suspension system, the coils underneath aren't springy. The foam base and upper gel layer is what absorbs the shock. Also, and this is very important, the trick for getting the most out of this seat is to angel the seat upwards a bit. It is quite uncomfortable and will dig into your pressure points if you leave it totally level. When positioned properly I was able to ride more comfortably than with the old gel seat cover for upwards of 20-30 miles. Hope it works for you!

I could a retailer easily selling this for $40
The seat is surprisingly light weight and well made of quality materials. I could a retailer easily selling this for $40. The silent and sealed suspension is modern and not too bulky as I would like to add a saddle bag in the future. The metal spring suspensions are noisy, heavier and just look 'grandma'. When in my 20's my Diamondback Topanga bicycle came with a stock seat which was pretty good however with a gel cover I was able to ride for 50 to 60 miles in an afternoon without that numbing after effect. These days stock seats are thin and I wouldn't be able to ride 1/2 an hour without being uncomfortable. The Cloud 9 is a life saver! I already recommended it to several friends who commented on why I put a cruiser seat on a hybrid bike. After they took a quick spin they were impressed. I have mine positioned slightly lower than level for easier uphill climbs. Of particular note I must add is that I'm a man, 5'10" and 185lbs and I just couldn't see the men's 10" wide seat working for me because of a few reasons. I like to use my full leg extension and have the seat quite high. Secondly I don't have a full bottom to fill that men's 10 plus wide seat (and it would have looked crazy) ... Third, when riding I could foresee an uncomfortable bobbing back and forth trying to find the middle lol. The 1st picture shows the way I mounted it ... 2nd pic shows a tailors square to verify the size. I can see myself enjoying this seat for years to come.

Hard as a rock
Perhaps the comfort is in the style but it is too hard for me. It is a quality seat however

Couldn't have asked for a better saddle!
After doing quite a bit of research, I settled on this saddle. I was a little bit worried because I have a road bike (and this is a "comfort" saddle). However, my worries were pointless. This saddle has really saved me from pain. I didn't have to do any modifications as a previous review alluded. It actually has helped me get in a comfortable position to ride with my drop bars (the "default" road bike position). With my original seat, my backside would get so sore I hated riding in that position and would tend to stay "upright" as much as possible. Unfortunately, I did not feel as confident going down steep hills and making stops in that position. With this saddle I am actually glad to scoot back on the seat. I will note it took me a day (yes, just 1) to get used to it- not because of the way the saddle itself feels- but because of the hand position when I bent over. I think it is because the thickness of the seat and that I tend to scoot back on this seat more than I did with the other. While I still can slightly tell that I have ridden on consecutive days, it is not longer painful- more so a reminder. And for the price, I can't speak highly enough. Must have!

Uncomfortable seat
Another women warned about her bits being uncomfortable. I should have heeded her words as this seat was very uncomfortable. I did get some relief if I tilted the seat somewhat forward but then my butt hurt more. I'm a small women so not much padding and looking for that additional comfort for a pleasure ride. I kept thinking it would get better and then my bike was in for repairs so missed the window to return. Not sure how they got all the positive review unless they were sold with a bike purchase. You know it had to be bad as I never write reviews. Now I am still searching for a truly comfortable seat.

Very Comfortable & Durable
Easy to install & adjust for personal fit. External springs & seat construction provides long distance comfort without having to wear padded cycling shorts. Street clothes can be worn for a comfortable bicycle commute. No need to change clothing. So impressed, purchased a second saddle for another bicycle. Affordable. Good looks without it being an "old person" saddle. Great compromise of functionality & form.

Not comfortable
This was a very expensive, supposedly comfortable bike seat with very good reviews. Upon trying it, both my husband and I found it excruciatingly painful. I even, for the first time ever, experienced spasms in my butt - very unpleasant. Don't waste your money on this seat.
