I've purchased these Amazon Basics USB-A to Lightning cables four times now, and I keep coming back because they offer fantastic quality and value. These cables are well made, durable, and charge my devices just as quickly as the OEM cables, but at a fraction of the price. The 6 foot length is perfect for reaching across the room, and they’ve held up well even with frequent use. The only reason I've had to buy them multiple times is because my cats have a habit of chewing through all cables, not just these. It’s not a flaw of the product at all, it’s just a quirky problem I deal with. Otherwise, these cables would last me much longer! For anyone looking for affordable, reliable, and well built charging cables, I highly recommend these. They work perfectly for all my Apple devices, including my iPhone and iPad, and they’re just as good as the more expensive options out there.

Cheap solution to the need for multiple extra charge cords, works as advertised.

After my Apple-brand lightning cable wore down (the plastic around the lightning charger side literally started to break off despite normal usage), I bought a replacement cable from Amazon Basics in May 2023 to charge my iPhone 8. I bought the 6ft cable for $7.66 since it was actually cheaper than the 3ft cable at the time, and the cable has been working great. Here's what I noticed about the Amazon Basics lightning cable in comparison to the Apple lightning cable: -The charging speed doesn't seem to be different. -The 6ft cable from Amazon Basics is longer and gives me more flexibility in charging my phone. I can scroll in bed or arrange my desk differently. -The cable is thicker and feels more durable. If I accidentally yanked on Apple's lightning cable, I would freeze in fear that I ripped it. With this cable though, I would not have to worry about this (although it's long enough that I don't even yank on it in the first place). Although I would like the cable to be braided (I also got braided Amazon Basics cables in the past to use with my portable charger), this is more than durable enough considering what I paid. -The plastic around the cable is a soft plastic rather than a hard plastic. This makes me feel that the plastic is not going to crack after repeated usage (unlike the Apple lightning cable) -The plastic around the cable is wider on the Amazon Basics cable, meaning that the charger slightly compresses my soft-shell phone case when I'm charging my phone. This was also an issue with the braided Amazon Basics cable I mentioned earlier. While this is only a minor issue for me, it's entirely possible that the charger won't fit if you have a hard case around your device, so consider that before purchasing. Besides the few minor issues I mentioned above, I am very satisfied with this product since I am essentially getting a cable better than the brand name one for less than 40% of its retail price. I don't expect a deal as good as the one that I got to come around anytime soon, but I'd highly recommend this cable (or at least another Amazon Basics cable) if you are looking for a cheaper yet improved replacement for your lightning cable. This cable, as well as my braided cables bought previously from Amazon Basics, has made Amazon Basics my go-to source of replacement device charging cables.

The length is perfect, using it in my car for an extra charger and the usb port always comes loose from the port. Otherwise it works as expected.

Works great. I needed a charger that connected to apple play in my car when I connected so I can use my gps navigation and for some reason other chargers would charger my phone it wouldn’t connect to Apple play (unless they were actual Apple chargers) and this one did. I was also happy that it came in a 2 pack for only $10

In the 5+ years I've had an iphone 6s and the iphone 5 before that I think I've spent more money on the cables than I have on the actual phones. The cables from Apple are junk, the ones you buy in convenience stores or drug stores are junk. The only difference between them is the price and just how junky they are. I've purchased at least 4 of these from Amazon. They typically last 4-6 months. At that point the cable starts to break down and you have to bend it in some way to make the wires in it connect so that it will charge the phone until the cord gets bumped and it stops charging. Often sometime around the 4-6 month period the phone starts spitting out errors about how it doesn't recognize the cable or it is not the right cable or something like that. I do actually use these cables in real life to charge the phone on the go, on the hiking or biking trails, in the car and elsewhere. If you only charge your phone at home and don't flex this cable it will probably last years. If you live an active lifestyle that includes taking your phone with you and needing to charge it on the go such that the cord must bend and flex then 6 months seems to be the maximum life for one of these. So far, these do always work when I order them and they seem to be the cheapest ones that do work reliably. They just don't hold up for more than 6 months in my experience.

This charger was OK but I wish it was better quality, after a while of using it, it started degrading a lot over time and bending. My phone and other devices had issues charging with this after some while, but it did a great job for the first 6 months. I would say to definitely explore more options and maybe go for a nylon one as this one bended too much for me.
