Does the job every time
Brilliant traps, nice strong snap, very sensitive, easy to set, never failed, good for small and large rodents. Maybe a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend. I will say they don't instant kill, they suffocate eventually. So maybe not very humane. Plus to abide by regulations they should be used inside a tunnel or rat box but overall great item.

Instant success with a loft squirrel
Weโve had what we thought was a mouse or rat scurrying in the loft for weeks. Itโs made such a mess of the insulation and other personal stuff, chewing boxes to pieces. We initially bought 2 of the green plastic tube traps that you can catch and release. However on checking them the clever little git had chewed off and stolen the bait traps. I didnโt want to kill it and my wife and daughters definitely didnโt, but we were at a loss and so purchased this bad boy. Super easy to set up. I baited it with a couple of mini marshmallows on the hook and a small scattering of Alpen around the hook. Literally 5 minutes after laying the trap I was back in the loft to find a MASSIVE SQUIRREL had been caught in it. The trap is so powerful it would have broken its neck instantly so whilst Iโm not happy itโs dead, I am satisfied it wouldnโt have felt a thing. Great bit of kit.

INSTANT KILL - on first bait. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - solid piece of kit and worth every penny
Capture and kill on first bait. This is extremely strong...do NOT set trap then add bait ! Always make sure the bait it in the right position before setting down in the appropriate place. Look on Youtube for videos of this particular make. Watch and watch again. Be very careful to put it somewhere next to a wall - fence - run..where there's evidence that rats are there. I got the Amazon box which it was delivered in. Turned it unpside down and cut a hole 'just' big enough for the rat to crawl into. Then put the box over the trap next to the shed door making sure the hole was next to the shed. I covered it over with some tarpaulin just enough to leave a wee gap. You do NOT want the entrance any bigger than the size of the rat. This trap could easily kill a hedgehog or a small cat ! Death is certainly instant - it crushed the skull on the rat. The rat wouldn't have known a thing. HUMANE as humane can be.NEVER USE POISON - Never ever. It's disgusting stuff.

How to set bate
Excellent traps. Followed advice on YouTube about bate etc . Caught a rat first night set and have now caught 6 to date. And thatโs only a week after purchase.

One of the best on the market.
Really work well. Nice and sturdy build and the setting mechanism is really simple to use. Baiting can be a bit tricky and I have had the bait taken a few times without it going off but think itโs just trial and error. Very cleanly dispatches when it does strike.

Monster traps
These traps are Brutal. Iv got rats trying to eat through my kitchen door, couldn't believe it it when I caught one in action and it wasn't bothered when I opened the window to scare it off. Anyway rats where setting off the conventional traps I was using (I even screwed the traps down but they were escaping after setting them off). This one you just need them to set it off and it's game over due to the share strength of the traps. I'm more scared of getting my fingers trapped in them than the rats. These ones are weighty but I need to screw them down on a plank of wood. I use tough food on the main hook that triggers the snap, if i use peanut butter they will just lick it off the hook. I used chicken hearts from my local butchers, they come out rubberized from the air fryer and are hard for the rats to pull off the hook. I also used a wifi camera that connects to my phone that made me better understand the behavior of the rats. Iv caught two massive rats up to now with this trap.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE BUT THIS TRAP!
I have had rat(s) in my loft/wall cavity for months (droppings confirm). I've tried two different types of live-catch cages and two types of kill traps, but they've got too savvy after setting them off prematurely. I found out how it/they were getting in (a gap in the outer blockwork that is below ground level) so I set conventional kill traps inside pipes outside this gap. All I caught were mice (the rats ate the exposed parts...) I did shoot one rat at 03:30 New Year's Eve (feeding remains below bird feeder) but I did see two rats, so I definitely had at least 'one to go'. I didn't really want to seal the gap in the outer blockwork in case the rat burrows another way out, which I may not find for years (this gap took over ten years to find). I did 'seal' it with expanding foam. This is how I knew it was chewing its way out at at dusk and returning before dawn. I didn't want to use poison as it was likely to die/rot inside somewhere. I was at my wits end, until this trap! This trap is a monster compared to my other live-kills. HUGE springs and a MASSIVE kill bar Baited as per instructions (two types of bait, one for the feed tray, one for the catch) and primed the kill bar (it takes some force to arm). I purchased a twin-pack so repeated the process. Well, 07:00 I woke to a loud bang and the classic death writhe. BINGO! I'm amazed I caught this Einstein of the Rattus Norvegicus world on the first night of using this utterly brilliant trap. I will never use anything else from now on. However I would only use it for indoor use as this trap could easily kill small/medium wildlife (hence the air rifle for outdoor pest control). AAA+++

Highly effective
Highly effective. We had a rat in the garden and I tried human catching traps with peanut butter and poison with no luck at all. After a few unsuccessful weeks, I decided to give these a go and it was caught on the second night. I used small slices of apple and oats as a bait. Would definitely recommend.
