Yes. This mini fridge comes with a small freezer compartment and the lowest temperature can reach 24.8°F, cold enough for making ice cubes. Please adjust the thermostat to 6, the fridge will go down to its lowest temperature then you will be able to make ice cubes.

will this keep inulin?

I am keeping my insulin pens in this fridge. So far I am very happy with it. It holds a temperature at 39+/- 1° F. It is not noisy except for a few clicks of a solenoid from time to time. If you do use it for insulin I would not keep the door open long. The temperature will rise quickly since the inside volume is small. But once it settles down it holds the temp very steady.
