Bought this kit with various grips that I wanted to try out. Did my whole set and clubs as a newbie and it was simple. My new grips feel great and have greatly improved my game. What drove this buy is when i asked my local golfsmith what he charged, I almost fell over. It you can handle any dyi project, you can start with this and save money.

Had my clubs regripped in 30 mins, great kit.

As a beginner, I needed to regrip my golf clubs so this kit is everything you need. The knife is sharp and easy to cut the old grip and the tapes are excellent as well as the spray bottle. I had to regrip a total of 8 and the bottle is still in 75%. Make sure you take off the old tape and put in the new tape which is easy to install then this is the most important part which is to spray a lot of that solution on the shaft and inside the grip so it can slide easily. If you feel that the grip is being hard to slide in in the middle, slide it back out and make sure you spray a lot of that solution again and then put the grip back in. I had no problems at all and that was my first timer.

I purchased this kit in order to dive into the golf club grip installation world so I didn’t have to pay someone else to do it for me. So far I have been very pleased. Here’s the breakdown of the kit components: The hook knife is what you would expect from a cheap kit, it is not very robust and made of thin plastic. The hook blade sides in and out of the plastic handle like most other box cutter style knife. The knife would seem to be the worst part of the kit but so far has been able to cut a driver grip and two putter grips with no problem. The adhesive tape in very sticky once all backings have been removed. I would recommend getting the tape all situated on the shaft and ensure it is stuck down before exposing the grip side of the adhesive. It sticks to your fingers like crazy and is pretty thin. The solvent works well and gets the job done. The bottle kinda sucks and the spray handle and squirt portion stopped having a decent mist after the first use. It still comes out it just takes a lot more pumps. The rubber guide is great and grips the club in me clamp very nicely. Overall this is a good kit and gets the job done!

Overall, this kit is fantastic. Gives you everything you need to regrip clubs on your own. Cleaning off the old tape as honestly the most tedious part. I used goo gone for this (careful not to let the goo gone get on the golf grips- it ruins them) . The shaft has to be clean for optimal results. The included blade/knife is SHARP. Cut the old grips like butter- required almost zero effort. The new precut tape wrapped around the shaft almost perfect. The measurement was as close as it gets. The glue activated almost instantly with the solution bottle. Science!!!! The glue does get messy- that's why it’s recommended to push the replacement grips in one smooth motion. Else the stop/go movement will cause glue to fall/spill over to the outside of the grips—- Making a mess. For $12, it’s definitely worth a try on your own.

Excellent golf club re-gripping set comes with exactly what you need to replace your grips from home! I was completely inexperienced with re-gripping however having watched a few videos online, it looked quite straightforward so purchased this set to give it a go myself. Blade is super sharp so does an excellent job of removing existing grip from club, then the grip tape is very easy to apply and and spray solution works a treat! Have had no issues with adhesion and once on, the new golf grips appear to be firmly in place
