Well worth the price, protection for minimal outlay
I'm in the process of upgrading my cameras for home security and having previously bought D-Link, I was initially tempted to carry on with them until I worked out how much it would cost! I started looking for alternatives and came across Eufy. After many hours of watching YouTube reviews, I could see that on a "bang for buck" rating, these were very good. I found this camera on Amazon for ยฃ37.99 and there was a 20% discount available so I thought for ยฃ30ish, I'd give it a go. Best ยฃ30ish I've spent in a while! I really like the easy of set-up and use of this camera. Literally, download the app, follow the install, camera working. The added bonus is that you can use the camera with Apple Homekit, although in Homekit, not all functions are available. The camera has a mic and speaker so you can talk directly to the person at the other end. There is clever AI which can tell the difference between a person, pet or other motion. You can mount it upside down and in the app rotate the image and get notification of any triggers to the camera. There is also an option to have pet commands should you want to stop fido or the kids jumping on the sofa. I'm now looking to add more of the Eufy cameras to my property and will be pleased to do so. You do need to purchase a separate microSD for the camera, but if you factor into the price that you can get a 64GB class 10 Sandisk card for less than ยฃ10, it's mean I have a good quality camera set-up for ยฃ40 with features you'd expect to pay double that for!

Excellent quality and features without needing a subscription. Very happy recommended
I have owned many indoor cameras and these rate as one of the best. The picture quality is detailed and sharp and being wired can be used 24/7. Alternatively you can set up a recording schedule. As standalone cameras they have nice features which are available without subscription unlike other brands. One of the most useful of these is the picture notification when motion is detected, which can be disabled if preferred. There are various settings to adjust the video and audio streaming or recorded quality. You can set up activity zones for motion detection and there is also audio detection which is great for those with babies. Pet command allows you to customise a message to be broadcast on the camera speaker if a pet is detected. Most importantly I found the motion detection to be very reliable and the notifications arrived very quickly. I own a homebase 3 unit and there is an option to connect the cameras to the homebase unit so videos are saved on the homebase rather than the micro SD card. Unfortunately these indoor cams currently dont seem to be able to use the homebase 3 AI face detection features. I have owned a pair of these cameras for several years and they are still going strong. Highly recommended

Great little standalone camera.
I bought two of these for my elderly Mum's house (it was actually her idea) after a couple of falls meant I needed a better way to easily see that she's not on the floor unable to get up. Very easy to install, connects to existing WiFi and uses a microSD card (maximum of 128GB) which according to the spec sheet, will give 288hrs of recording at 1080p. There's no real reason why you'd want to set these up to record 2K as the 1080p option is already extremely clear...I mean, the video is perfect. The quality of the recorded sound is also excellent. It also has a microphone so you can talk through it via the app. They have a wide angle of view and the night vision is excellent. The eufy app gives you a decent amount of options regarding storage, notifications, etc. I can also view both cameras 'live' on the app in additon to going back as long as the storage will allow...when the microSD card is full, it starts to record over the oldest files. I can also go straight to the 'events' section which will show 2 minutes (or however long you decide) or video and audio when movement is detected...the 'AI' will flag if this is simply movement (the sun suddenly shining on a wall), a person, or a pet. You can also set the delay before recording after the camera detects movement. I've found the motion detection is very good. Overall, a great little camera if you don't need to store weeks of recordings. The only issue I've had is one of the simetimes disconnects from the network so it can't be viewed via the app. Sometimes remotely rebooting the camera will fix it (which you can do via the app) but sometimes I've had to physically turn it off/on again, which if course isn't ideal if the entire point of the camera is to circumvent being in the room it's monitoring.

Great little camera
Foe the price and the quality of the video footage, you can't go wrong in buying this little camera. I bought it to keep an eye on my car, which is parked outside. The camera is positioned on my windowsill and looks out through the window. You have to play around with the brilliant app to get the best out of it and to limit the amount of notifications you get, on the FREE app. You just need a 128gb SD card and you're sorted ๐

Good all round camera
My house has many Xiaomi Xiaofang cameras around the house. One decided to breakdown so it needed replacing. Xiaomi are restricting Chinese products to be used here so buying another one was no longer an option. The toss up was between this and the TP-Link Tapo camera. But decided to go for this based on being a Eufy product and 20% off at the moment so the price was similar. The image quality of this camera blows my Xiaomi camera out of the water. It is really clean and crisp. I wanted a camera with a micro sd card slot for local recording and this does this with no problems. The motion detection can be set up as areas (Similar to ring) which is handy and the AI recognises faces so takes a pic to put near the video as a thumbnail image which is a nice touch. Also has cloud options and can be linked to Apple Homkit to use iCloud, which I have yet to try. This doesnโt require a hub and set up was a breeze. In the box you get a usb wall charger and mounting kit which is really handy. The camera is powered using a micro usb cable and I have used a socket usb which is enough power for the camera so it doesnโt use a space for a plug. There is an option for 24/7 recording (local storage only) but this records at 1080p. Overall, the features this camera has and the ease at which it is to set up and operate makes it a definite choice for me. Just need to wait for the other camera to die so I can replace them all with these.

Great camera for use inside or looking out of a window
Took a gamble and ordered this based on a few questions and answers where it stated it could be used looking out of a window as our neighbour recently had his car stolen and I wanted something setup quick just to keep an eye on mine and alert me quickly. Its not the intended purpose of this indoor camera as its designed I guess to keep an eye on the inside of the house , but it works brilliantly as a security camera on a window sill looking out protecting my property. There are a few things to keep in mind when using it like I do. As you are using it to look out of a window , you cannot have the status LED turned on and you cannot use the night vision. If you have either of those on , the IR lights for the night vision and the status LED both reflect off the glass back into the camera and basically blind it. So if you intend to use it to look out of a window like I do , you have to turn both of those features off. Luckily in my situation , I have a street light close by outside and also have a security light that comes on when things are close to the house so there is always enough light for the camera to provide a good clear recording. If you dont have enough light outside , then you may find it not a good solution and would have to go for an outdoor camera which is designed for the job. All the other features work superbly when monitoring outside, activity zones , motion detection , person and pet detection, alerting and always on recording when I use it. Even from my window sill to the car which is about 25 feet away from the house , I can draw an activity zone to include just outside my window , the garden , up the drive and the car. I have it set to alert me for anything as its a quite close I live in , so anything from a cat upwards will pop up with a 30 sec recording of what happened day or night letting me know if it was a pet , a person or just general motion. If I get fed up of being told about a cat , I can change the settings to just include people etc. I am sure for its main use of keeping an eye on the contents of a house inside , going by how it performs for me keeping an eye outside , it will be a fantastic camera. As a make shift window sill security camera to protect outside ... well for me and the price I paid during the sale , I dont think I could have made a better purchase. In fact I would say this has been my most successful purchase off amazon and I am not even using it for its designed use. 5 stars Just on the performance of this little repurposed camera , I have gone and bought some of their outside battery powered cameras.

Cheap Homekit camera, shame about the mandatory app
+ good image quality + once it's set up on Apple Home it does just work and continue to work + really good Wifi antenna with a very decent range + IR floodlight for night vision - terrible bloatware app larger than Windows XP that you have to use, that won't work without an account you have to have, that wants to confirm your email address and try to sell you a cloud subscription, that you can't add the camera to Apple Home without - won't look straight forwards or fit against a wall because the charging port is in the back, and the charging port is microUSB, and the plug isn't right-angled. It has to look ~10ยฐ left, right, or down otherwise the cable gets crushed by the mount All-in-all, it probably is worth twice the price of a Tapo that doesn't have an IR illuminator and doesn't have native Homekit support. The app and general setup experience is awful, but it only needs to be run once and can be deleted afterwards.

Very good camera, HomeKit integration works well with one caveat
For the price, this is an excellent camera. Resolution of the video is good and HomeKit integration works well. There is only one caveat to HomeKit, that live video does not work when your off your local wifi network. But this is an issue with Etisalat and Du who are blocking the network protocol that streams the live video outside your home, hopefully they will resolve it soon. The workaround is to view recorded video in HomeKit which works perfectly or to use the Eufy app. For the price and HomeKit secure video integration, I strongly recommend this camera.
