hmm.. Lemon :)
I'll be the first to post a review. This stuff taste just like lemon aid! the packaging says 0 sugar so thats a plus.. I like it. In the book Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future he claims it works on all kinds of stuff so.. we shall see.. 2 oz is not very much but then again its not like you can go to your local supermarket to pick it up so keep that in mind. over 400% of daily value of vitamin C in 1 teaspoon so.. if you want vitamin C to the max this is it. Camu-camu is a low-growing shrub found in the Amazonian rainforest of Peru, mainly in swampy or flooded areas. It grows to a height of about 2-3 m and has large, feathery leaves. The camu-camu fruit is about the size of a large grape and has a purplish red skin with a yellow pulp. The fruit has never been documented as a traditional herbal remedy for any condition in the Amazon region. In fact, it was not widely eaten as a fruit by the indigenous people, due to its sour, acidic taste. In recent years, the fruits have become popular in Iquitos, Peru, where they are made into drinks and ice creams. Camu-camu fruit contain powerful phytochemicals, are full of amino acids (serine, valine, and leucine), and have more vitamin C than any other known fruit in the world. Oranges provide 500-4,000 ppm vitamin C; camu-camu provides up to 500,000 ppm, or about 2 grams of vitamin C per 100 grams of fruit. In comparison to oranges, camu-camu provides thirty times more vitamin C. Camu-camu is also a significant source of potassium, providing 711 mg per kg of fruit. The camu-camu fruit has a surprising range of medicinal effects as measured by quantity of a variety of phytochemical compounds which experimentally have demonstrated therapeutic effects. Dr. James Duke, retired chief botanist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, pre-eminent New World tropical botanist, and author of many botanical books, including the popular Green Pharmacy, lists some of these effects in his Ethnobotanical website, based on amounts of various phytochemicals which camu-camu contains. In a comparative study of hundreds of botanicals, ranked in order of effectiveness for various health conditions, camu-camu was ranked among hundreds of herbs as follows: Antimutagenic -- No. 4 Antiviral -- No.6 Antioxidant -- No.4 Asthma -- No.1 Arteriosclerosis -- No.1 Cataracts -- No.1 Colds -- No.1 Depression -- No.2 Edema -- No.1 Gingivitis-periodontal disease -- No.1 Glaucoma -- No.1 Hepatitis -- No.1 Infertility -- No.1 Migraine/cluster headaches -- No.1 Osteoarthritis -- No.1 Painkiller -- No.1 Parkinson's disease -- No.1.* In Brazil, camu-camu is being promoted as a product that untangles and strengthens hair, and protects it from external damage, adding to its shine and vitality. so that's what it can do according to the book.. :-)

Bitter, Musty and Thoroughly Disgusting
This powder is brown, bitter, and totally disgusting. It has a musty, mushroom-y, root-y flavor, along the lines of ginseng or gentian root. It is hideous. The bag depicts a light pink powder and other reviews state that it is pink, and that it has a mildy acidic taste. Well my bag is NOTHING like that. I tried to return it after trying it once, but Amazon said I had to take extra steps to return it, and for the $11 dollars I paid for it I figured I'd just force it down my gullet for a few days and at least get the vitamin C--assuming the manufacturer is being truthful about the vitamin C content. With all these reviews saying "it tastes great!" I don't know if they are fake reviews, or if I got a bad batch, or what. Hope I don't get some sort of illness from eating this stuff. TerrAmazon is really falsely representing its product to show a pink powder on the front of the bag when the product is really brown. I can't stress it enough--this is DISGUSTING. I will never buy it again, and I would caution anyone against buying it either.

First time using this excellent fruit in its powder form
First time using this fruit in its powder form. Ordered and received within 24 hours. Very pleased with shipment. The powder is very fine and light pink, resembling cosmetic cover up. Taste indicates a sharp vitamin C quality. Prefer to consume on its own. Immediately effective with digestion and energy. In addition, good way to supplement the daily intake. Selected 4 stars due to no other brand to compare to as of yet. Satisfied with quality and shipment. Good product.

The good side is that it is so high in Vitamin ...
This product is OKAY, hence my two-star rating. The good side is that it is so high in Vitamin C you could swear all potentially health-racking germs would eschew your body upon contact. Besides the crazy high VIT C percentage, it's also a bright pink color for those of us who are aesthetically sensitive to nature's colors... AND, it has a pleasant sour taste (think powdered lemonade minus the added sugar). The bad side is this, and there are a few facets to it: 1. It's so freaking expensive for what you get. I wish this company could balance out the economics of this-- far too small of a package for what you pay. 2. It doesn't dissolve easily. Every single time I whisked it into my water or smoothie, it clumped up into balls that were a bit disgusting. 3. It doesn't stretch out long, meaning, I'd have to reorder this nearly every couple of weeks. Thumbs down. Again, let's get this packaged into bigger bags and stretch out our dollar a bit longer.

The benefits and antioxidants is great but the taste and it does not dissolve easily at all. It is difficult to drink, it clumps in the water.

It's giving me energy and I feel peace of mind knowing that I'm getting a good hefty amount of whole food source vitamin C
I'm loving this powder! I heard about it from one of Christa Orecchio's videos on how to get the most vitamin C out of whole foods...this was top on her list as having the most vitamin C. It's giving me energy and I feel peace of mind knowing that I'm getting a good hefty amount of whole food source vitamin C. The powder is a true pink...like pepto bismol pink. I've read that the pinker the powder, the better the quality...so the quality seems to be awesome. I use it in my morning protein shake and I don't use a blender, so it does tend to clump up and not mix well. I don't really mind it though. If you don't like "chunks" in your shake, then I would probably use a blender. I'm going to order one of those wire whisk balls that you can put in your shake to help mix it up a bit more, so maybe that will help. Either way, it doesn't matter and I'm very happy with this powder. We'll be adding it our subscribe and save list.

This is a fine, light pink powder
This is a fine, light pink powder, full of aroma. I use it to make liposomal vit. C/reduced glutathione/ r-alpha lopoic acid super drink. Please note: Camu Camu powder should be light pink, if it's brownish, it was processed in higher temperatures. This powder is excellent, so much so that I don't want to try other brands.
