After gaining 70lbs with my first pregancy I was able to lose 85lbs (after delivering baby, about 55 actual pounds of fat YUCK) using the stretching routine from disc one and the Aerobic workout from disc 2 (along with eating some what healthy, a stroller jogging once or twice a weeek :-) I started the routine about three months after delivering and while my son took his naps I would exercise. The stretching routine is about 15min. and the whole Aerobic workout takes about 45 min. I just had my second child and am ready to break out the routine again to get the baby weight back off. Discs 4 & 5 are okay, but I really haven't used them much (my husband is kinda bummed about that!) He got one good night of fun with it, but it ended shortly afer it started! (I had the disc playing for the music and he wasn't suppose to look at the TV, but he did while I was in the middle of a dip and he said (in a sweet yet concerned voice) "Carmen didn't do it like that" THAT WAS THE END OF MY ATTEMPT. :-) He learned to keep his mouth shut and not compare my way to Carmen's way after that and I learned to use different music!! One major flaw is in disc 2 during the aerobic work out, someone mis-edited a section of the routine, so you are going along and all the sudden they have switched sides and are doing something different. I usually pause it at that point and switch sides and finish that same section then press play and continue with the rountine...but it is very frustrating. But all in all a GREAT stretching routine and Aerobic work out, a some fun routines to workout your body and excite your man. I felt great once the weight was off and my body was toned!! I was taking an aerobics class, pilates, and yoga at the same time, but it seemed that none of that was working, it only made my muscles bulky, which doesn't look well on a female, it's supposed to make you thin. So I decided to try this out. I did this for 3 weeks, 5 days a week, and I definetley saw results!! My thighs got slimmer, my butt got smaller, and my waist, not to mention it showed me ways to move in which I never could have before. So, not only did I lose weight, see results, but in the process I learned to dance! In the video Carmen is very comfortable talking to you, you feel like a friend and not just someone she is instructing or bossing around, she is much more personable. I actually prefer her video to an actual aerobics class. After trying this I bought DVD's 2, 3, 4, 5, and even the new one " In the bedroom". I love it!! And my boyfriend loves it too ;)

Excellant stretching routine, Fun workouts to so the hubby!

I had seen this DVD many times while I was in stores. I was trying so hard to lose weight. This DVD Delivers...
The title of this DVD doesn't lie. You learn strippers' moves, which happens to provide a good workout in the process. And like Carmen says, if you're doing it right, then it's hard work. If you play the DVD in its entirety, you'll be working out for about 55 minutes. And even if you just play one of the programmed selections that run through each segment quickly, you'll still get a compact workout (about 15 minutes) that warms you up & gets your body moving. One of the great features of the DVD is that all 3 routines are broken down, depending on time restraints and/or personal preference (with instruction vs. performing the routines straight through just to music). The 1st routine is more like a proper warm up for the 2nd two. And you're definitely working out your body: your stretching, your working your core when doing moves like body rolls, and your working your legs, hips, & butt. Overall, it's just a really fun way to exercise. And I'm all for women being in touch with their sexuality.

Fun little numbers, but not really a "workout"
I just did my first run thru of Carmen's Aerobic Striptease. In all honesty--i was prepared for anything: for it to be goofy and silly, OR fun and provacative! The dance numbers are cute--not skanky-- and once you feel comfortable adding your own spice, they're fun to do! I'm just learning to incorpotate my own "spice", since it's my first time working out to it. My opinion, tho: NOT much of a cardio work out. I'll be adding this as my 20 minute "warm up" before doing my REAL workout. On another note tho--as much as i already figured Carmen is not the most articulate of gals (i mean, come on! It's Carmen Electra!), i thought she'd be more prepared to "instruct" than she appeared. In my opinion, she seemed to struggle to even describe what she was doing. For instnace-- what could've been more helpful for ME are details like "shift your weight here" or "act like you're washing your buns" or anything that's more of a description than "do this! yeah, that's good--now you've got it!--and she's a dancer, for cryin' out loud! The focusing on her face during the dance moves we the viewer were trying to learn was a tad annoying, but--let's face it! She's got the facial expressions DOWN for this kind of routine--perhaps that's what they're showing us as well. Over all--fun to fool around with, fun to perform for your man, and fun to add some extra kick into your already established club dances (like how to throw your hair, etc. My favorite!), but not what i'd consider a true "work out"... Glad i bought it tho. Once i learn the routines and can ignore her instructions, i'll be a happier camper! :o)

Excellent for beginners
This is the first Carmen Electra CD I have ever purchased or even seen. I am learning to strip tease for my boyfriend and this CD was excellent for me! She has a way of blending low impact aerobics with stripping. She explains and shows you how to walk seductively, poses, and suggestions of what to wear or add to the little that you are wearing. I would recommend this CD to anyone; however, if you are more advanced in aerobics, this CD may be too easy for you but remember, it's not the aerobics you are learning as much as it is stripping. I Googled Carmen Electra and found a short clip on YouTube of the one dance in this CD before I purchased it.

Perfect for beginners
I really enjoyed this dvd because I have zero dance experience and DEFINITELY zero 'stripping' experience! I wanted to be able to do something sexy for my husband but had no idea how to move. Carmen Electra breaks the routine down into very small, bite sized steps that even someone like me could follow. She repeats each portion of the routine often enough that I did not need to stop and rewind to practice the moves. I broke a sweat, but that's because I don't exercise much nowadays. If you are looking for a good workout this really isn't it, but if you are a "coordination challenged" non dancer like me - this is a great dvd to use to learn a really cute striptease routine.

Not Unique But Good
With the recent craze of striptease aerobics videos out there, I figured this one would be worth a shot. The video consists of a few different 'dance routines.' Many of these moves really aren't anything more than the same moves you would catch on any of the gajillion bellydance videos out there - and if you are just getting started on exercising, interested in the exercising/dance genre of video, I would suggest you start in the bellydancing section first. This DVD was a good low impact workout, and I did break a sweat the first few times, but the moves can be a little difficult for beginning dancers to master. On the bright side, the music to the routines wasn't bad, it was relatively low on the cheesy comments about how learning dance makes a woman a goddess, and it's actually fun. :)

Beginners luck...
It does ease you into the basics and introduces you to the fitness benefits of seductive striptease. However if you struggle with confidence and self-esteem it could take a while to ease into it! :/

just so much fun.
I recently purchased this product whilst looking for a way to increase exercise and also have fun as I am just one of those people who finds repetition at the gym boring. From the moment the DVD started it was informal and flirty without the added pressure of needing to already be physically fit as I have found with some fitness DVD's. Carmen leads and she is just brilliant, puts you at ease straight away and makes you feel like the workout is just a dance routine with a group of friends. There are three routines, one is a simple yet effective warm up which teaches the basic steps and the other two build on the first, gradually getting more difficult but still doable. The steps are clear and well explained making getting confused difficult, even for someone as uncoordinated as myself! The routines themselves increased my heart rate and I really felt some of the stretches, however I am under no allusions that for an advanced dancer or someone looking for a strenuous cardiovascular workout this will be too easy and unsuitable. I enjoyed all the routines and really did have fun! By the end of the DVD (which is roughly 50mins), although a little sweaty, you feel flirty and confident. If I executed the routines even a quarter as sexy as Carmen did it was worth buying!!! I would really recommend it for someone trying to add gentle exercise to their lifestyle or for someone looking for fun routines which boost confidence.

So much fun! I'm really out of shape so it's a great way to get back into it. After a few weeks I can do the whole video, although I have zero rhythm I still have a blast! Going to bring it out for Winesday with the ladies soon.

Gut!!!!!!!!!!!!
Diese DVD ist zu empfehlen. Einen Punkt Abzug dafür, daß es wirklich eine DVD für Anfänger ist - wer also schon länger tanzt, ist hier ein bißchen unterfordert, da die Choreo sehr leicht und auch kurz ist. Aber wer eben noch nie sich an sowas herangetraut hat, dem sage ich: Ran da! Eines muß aber gesagt werden: man wird hier fit gemacht für den Striptease, aber gestript wird auf keiner DVD der Reihe! Nur sexy getanzt. Und das sehr süß. Meinen Freund macht allein schon die Erwärumg immer ganz nervös, hier ist wirklich alles sehr jung und weiblich gehalten, endlich mal was ohne Langeweile. Wer kommt sich schon sonst bei einem Warm-Up sexy vor? Das English ist kein Problem, alles bunt und hübsch, Musik zum Auswählen, programmierbarer Ablauf. Kaufen - and get fit to strip!
