This is huge fun… very engaging with great illustrations. Very much looking for others by the same author/illustrator combo now. My son loves this one and asked if he could read it. He was so proud to get every word.

This was such a let down after the extraordinary predecessors in the series. The Bad Seed, The Cool Bean and The Good Egg are all modern fables with a deep meaning and lesson to be learned about releasing anger, overcoming envy, and navigating anxiety. The all deal with big emotions and troubles with grace and empathy. The Great Eggscape was an unemotional story without the character development we’ve found in the rest of the series. Such a let down.
