Good timer
Timer works well programs easily. Can run each zone up to 4 times a day. Installing sprinkler and transformer wires can be difficult they don’t give much room to work on them. My transformer power cord stopped working after two years.

My second Galcon irrigation controller for a good reason
This irrigation controller is designed and made in Israel (they are experts in drip irrigation as water is not plentiful in their country). I bought the first one at a Home Depot and used it for over 10 years, then moved to another town and left it in the house for the new owner to enjoy. When I started setting a drip irrigation system at my new place, went to a brick and mortar store and bought an irrigation controller made by a well known drip irrigation manufacturer, but had problems figuring out the instructions. I contacted them and all I got back was an online copy of the same instructions that come with the device... so I just returned the whole thing to the store and bought the Galcon. This irrigation controller is a solid performer, with clear instructions and easy to set up. To further automate your irrigation, you can attach a wired "rain sensor" presumably of any brand available. Note that there are two kinds of wired rain sensors: you will need to attach a "normally open" rain sensor to the appropiate terminals on the Galcon irrigation controler (not a "normally closed" rain sensor). You can get technical details at: digcorp dot com, search for the "8006 six-station AC timer" and find the full manual in PDF format. Disclaimer: I have NO relationship with Galcon nor DIG Corporation, just the love of a good product.
