The design and quality is choice. The handle is high to protect hands. The seal and washer are also stainless steel and graded silicon. Limiting unwanted chemicals is helpful.

Affordable solution for high oven temperature cooking
The knob was a perfect replacement for the plastic one on my cast iron Dutch oven. No modifications were needed. Has survived 500 degree temps in the oven with no issues. Now the Dutch oven can safely be used to bake sourdough bread.
