This is a great replacement mouthpiece for ANY camelbak. It doesn’t necessarily have to be military spec camelbak packs, but it is military spec on accessories. Which I don’t have or use. As a civilian looking for a great replacment mouthpiece for my camelbak I wanted an easy On/Off valve switch, easy to bite/drink mouthpiece, easy to clean, and practical. With that in mind, the valve is easy to switch On/Off, the hydroloc removes the mouthpiece section with little drip, the rubber piece can come off the hydroloc piece to wash off in the “field”, and it was more practical than all other mouthpieces out there. The only thing I wish it had was the magnetic stay, but I won’t hold that against it.

Works great outta of the box. I did have to slit the bite valve open a little with a straight razor than the a little bit more than the way it came. Minor modification in the big picture. I picked up an old US issue army ACU hydration blatter at a flea market for a couple bucks because the bight valve was lost and they were just trying to get rid of it. They said it was a 1 1/2 liter blatter and they couldn find anything specifically for it to fix it, well thats because it doesnt exist. Well after this inexpensive purchase of valve assembly I pulled the bladder as far out as it would go. Come to find out the bladder was twisted half way down. So with a simple untwist, a through wash and rinse and a couple bucks to just cut the old valve system and put this in a complete semi new military issue grade had ration bladder for less that $10. If it can be saved and repaired, try it before you shell out $$ for something new. A great new addition for a day hike, SAR, camping, or just a simple bike ride.

The nozzle on my hydration pack started leaking, and I was considering purchasing a new hydration pack until I realized I can simply replace the nozzle for fraction of the cost of a hydration pack. Looked at several options and chose this one due to the fact it has a nozzle on/off lever as a backup therefore in case the nozzle tip begins to leak I figured I can simply throw the switch. Installing was a very simple, moisten the tip and insert into the old hose. Took less than 1 minute. The nozzle works PERFECT after about 2 months of riding and have not even had to use the on/off lever. (PROS) * Inexpensive * Easy to Install * Allows a good amount of water to flow (My old nozzle only allowed the water to trickle out which was very annoying, no such issue here) * Backup on/off lever (In case the nozzle tip were ever to fail and begin leaking water just throw the switch) (CONS) * NONE Would definitely recommend either if your nozzle is failing and leaking or you simply want a nozzle which allows more water through)

After a year of running around with a stock mouthpiece for my cheap hydropack and leaking water everywhere, I decided to pick up this mouthpiece before I went on a trip to Coachella Music Festival. This mouthpiece comes with an open/close valve that controls the flow of water even if you are not biting into it. The valve keeps the water in very well, even when shuffling and bumping my way through crowds of people at Coachella. Even with the valve open, the mouthpiece seems to do a good job keeping the water from flowing out when you aren't drinking from it. This is an essential upgrade I made and would recommend if you are constantly spilling water out of your current setup.

Wollte eigentlich nur das dezente Blau des mitgelieferten Ventils von meinem schwarzen Trinkrucksack loswerden- überraschendes Plus bei diesem ist dass sich das Mundstück leicht drehen lässt- und auch der Ventilhebel wirkt praktischer bei der Bedienung! Eventuelle Nachteile: es bringt halt einige Gramm mehr auf die Waage und wirkt ein Wenig wuchtiger- kann man aber meiner Meinung nach vernachlässigen..
