do they really block blue light while also working as reading glasses?

Yes, I think they really do block the blue light. You can see the difference when you take them off, and look at the screen. I've been wearing them since April 7th and my eyes definitely feel better. I've been in locked down since Mar 13, 2020 and working from home. My screen time has doubled and my eyes were really feeling the strain. These glasses have made a difference.

Is the magnification strength of the glasses accurate?

The website gives the diopter strength of the glasses but calls it the magnification power. This is wrong and misleading and caused me to order the wrong strength glasses. The reading glasses have the diopter strength on them, but the website lists magnification power, which should be listed as the diopter strength like the glasses. Diopter readings always have a plus sign (+) in front of them, and magnification power has an X behind the number. (+2 Diopter = 1.5X, +3 Diopter = 1.75 X, and +4 Diopter = 2 X) The Gaoye company probably lists magnification power because it is easier for the public to understand, instead of diopter, which is the standard that optometrists use.

where are they manufactured?

The flimsy box they came in says: "Groye, Designers Mila" and had to hunt for where they were made... ..."Shenzhen China". Flimsy thin frames.
