Fantastic timekeeper for a mechanical watch, great looking and very good value. Totally satisfied.

Finally got my hands on this Bulova. It doesn't disappoint. It's a typical 'Bulova' remake of one of their past watches. I am a real fan of the Bulova military watches which have undeniable historic heritage. The retro styling and feel is very appealing. I have the Bulova Hack in both Auto and Quartz versions. This joins the stable of Bulova WW2 watches in my collection. Great styling, superb finishing and construction. Mine is running around 5 secs fast a day. I like the quality of the strap and the signature on the buckle is great. The printing on the dial is amazing and the sapphire crystal is a bonus. Lume is adequate- not the best in class but I think I can live with this. Only real criticisms are 1.The lack of screw down crown or stiffer resistance on the outer chapter rings. They do move about a fair bit - but this was the same issue with the original watch when released in late 1944 (?) 2. 30m water resistance, could be 50 or 100m if screw down crowns were employed? Hence.. only 4 stars Puzzled by some reviews saying this watch came with a dead battery...Erm... it's a self-winding AUTOMATIC watch .. there is NO battery powering a electronic movement...it's not a 'Quartz' movement but entirely MECHANICAL... it winds the mainspring using a rotor and your arms movements as you wear it.. DOAH!

For general ise no luminosity. Knobs to easily revolved.would not trust water prooofing.Nice looking thats it

I love this watch! It as a fine military look and It is so easy to read at a glance, with, normal, military and duel time (if set) shown simultaneously. With the two dials you can use it as a stopwatch. I normally set the hour dial to 5 (duel time, Ireland) and the minute dial to the current date. It runs a little fast and I like that, as I hate to be late. Also , makes it very easy to reset (it has the Hack feature), as all you have to do is stop the watch and wait a few seconds to set it to the exact time. I prefer analogue watches as they visually represent the time remaining to the next minute, hour. etc. It has an automatic movement. I prefer an automatic movement to any other type movement. It is almost like having the impossible - a perpetual motion machine. No Battery, no winding - YES! I have no scratches, so far, on the sapphire face or the body. All in all, a beautiful watch!

Un orologio dal forte richiamo storico, bello da vedere al polso. Quadrante ben esaltato da un bellissimo vetro zaffiro, cinturino in pelle di ottima qualità, molto morbido. Riguardo al cinturino, per polsi piccoli un foro in più può essere necessario. Nel complesso, oltre al fascino vintage, trasmette l’idea di qualità e solidità. Lo sto usando quotidianamente da più di un mese, affidabile nell’orario e molto utili le funzioni contatempo con la ghiera. Davvero molto soddisfatto.

Eine wirklich schöne, klassische Uhr zu einem sehr guten Preis. Auf meinem Foto mit dunkelbraunem Alligatorband (zugekauft). Einziger bisher feststellbarer Minuspunkt: die beiden innenliegenden Zahlenringe verstellen sich beim Tragen relativ leicht von selbst. Die Größe ist mit 42mm genau richtig; so hat die Uhr die nötige Präsenz. Ja, das historische Vorbild war wesentlich kleiner (32mm). Aber, Hand aufs Herz, so kleine Uhren tragen Männer heutzutage nicht mehr.
