why cant the company answer and give me the info I want does it work as well to keep the cold out too or is it only for heat

An answer for everyone for all time: heat and cold are the same thing. Or you could say there's no such thing as cold. There is only heat. Heat is energy. Cold is the lack of heat. Therefore cold is the lack of energy. Therefore anything that insulates keeps cold out just as well as it keeps heat in, and vice versa. Insulation is a blockade for energy transfer. The blockade works both ways, keeping heat in exactly as well as it keeps heat out!

what constant heat temperature can this withstand?

I am not sure, I only use this for hot pads. Hopefully someone else will have the answer to your question. What are you planning on making? That might help with the answer.

Can this be used to line lunch bags to keep food cold along with an ice pack?

Insulbrite can be used to line lunch bags, unless for some reason they would be put into the microwave oven. There are aluminum fibers or threads all through insulbrite, which gives it the ability to keep in heat or cold. This is a great product and I love using it. I make pot holders with it and use 2 layers. It washes great!

which side of the Insul-bright faces the bottom layer of the fabric?

The shiny side faces surface that will touch the heat.

No tan “insulated”

Este material lo usé para hace unas agarraderas para la cocina pero para que fueran realmente aislantes de calor hubiera tenido que ponerle dos capas de algodón además de este material. Daba lo mismo usar el algodón sin el aislante desde el principio. T vez para proyectos como loncheras o algo así si sea más útil
