My dog loves the flavor and enjoys getting her teeth brushed now. With her old toothpaste, she would barely let me brush her teeth and then she would be hyper afterward. Now she enjoys it and it’s fairly calm once we’re finished. It works so well. She had a bunch of tartar/plaque on her back teeth and a little on her canines. We’ve been using plaque-off powder, but it barely works. After a few weeks of using this, she has no more calcifications on her teeth. She has some staining left over from previous calcifications. I wish I had tried this sooner so her teeth stayed pearly white.

I rarely take the time to review so if I do I think that it's because it's something people need to hear. I have and have had many animals. For years I have been trying to find a way to brush our dog's teeth beyond minties, because while those are great it's not enough. I've bought over ten different products that have ended up in the trash. I gave up, but we recently added two new puppies. Our current dog line up after our senior passed is a 1 year old Shiba female, a 12 week old Japanese American Akita, and an 11 week sable Pomeranian. As I've done more research Poms especially are prone to dental issues so regular complete dental care is important. So I went back to the sea of products.. I ended up getting hicc silicone finger scrubs and a toothpaste that they all gagged at. So another toothpaste thrown away.. I decided to keep the fingers Incase I could find something else. Chatgpt actually recommended this specific toothpaste, I figured I'd try it even though I didn't have high hopes. Infact it actually sat in my petcare box for a bit because of that. Today I finally tried it and it's Amazing, not one, but all three very finicky opinionated babies love it! Like obsessed. I mean not just picking but actually chewing and letting my brush their teeth, each didn't wanna stop. I am so impressed. Not only am I taking care of their dental hygiene but it's an enjoyable treat to them. The tube is huge(human toothpaste size), I can tell it'll last us a very long time. It's affordable. It doesn't stink either. I purchased the poultry one I believe because I thought it was a good place to start and it was an instant hit. So save yourself the headache and wasting money on different pastes and brushes. Get hicc finger brushes and one of these and I promise you'll never have to fight to take care of your babies teeth again. Plus, no stinky breath and the product it's self doesn't stink. This stuff is the best I’ve found over all other pastes, powders, and chews. My standard doodle had some nasty plaque buildup on his back molars. I tried everything to clean them up but nothing seemed to work. After reading about this stuff I decided to give it a try. I use it once a day with a finger cot. I’m just about done with the first tube and the results are amazing! The plaque is almost entirely gone and he loves the taste of this stuff. Just ordered my second tube. Very happy!!!!

My cat LOVES this toothpaste. When I open the cap, he jumps into my lap and tries to start licking. I can get all of his teeth, gently get his gums, and his tongue, and his breath has gotten so much better. The cap can get a little stuck with dried toothpaste, so just wipe that after. Great value

My cat actually loves the taste of this stuff! Considering how rare it is for cats to tolerate brushing, I feel very fortunate that my cat lets me brush her teeth without much push-back (let’s be honest though—she doesn’t necessarily love it either). It definitely helps that she genuinely seems to like the flavor of this toothpaste. I usually let her lick the excess paste off the toothbrush after I’ve brushed her teeth, since it’s like a treat/reward for her. And, despite it being chicken flavored, it just eliminates/neutralizes her bad breath instead of making it smell chicken-y.

Ich habe mich wirklich ewig lange mit dem Thema Zahnpflege beim Hund beschäftigt und alles verglichen, was es so im Tierfachmarkt gibt. Die Sachen dort sind nicht unbedingt schlecht, aber diese Zahnpasta hier ist für mich wirklich das Nonplusultra, sozusagen der Ferrari unter den Zahnpflegen. Besser geht’s eigentlich nicht. ​Warum genau diese? Ich habe mich ganz gezielt für die Virbac entschieden, weil die Enzyme laut meiner Recherche nach dem Putzen noch gut 10 bis 15 Minuten aktiv weiterarbeiten. Das heißt, der Plaque wird auch in den Zahnzwischenräumen und an Stellen, wo man vielleicht nicht perfekt hingekommen ist, noch nachträglich entfernt. ​Anwendung & Akzeptanz: Die Handhabung ist super easy und die Akzeptanz ist extrem hoch meinem Hund scheint sie richtig gut zu schmecken, was das Ganze total stressfrei macht. Ich nutze sie in Kombination mit einer ganz weichen Kinderzahnbürste, das klappt hervorragend. ​Meine Routine: Ich versuche, jeden Abend zu putzen, damit die Enzyme über Nacht lange im Maul bleiben können. Danach gibt es auch nichts mehr zu fressen (Wasser hat er natürlich zur freien Verfügung, aber er trinkt danach meistens nichts mehr) und dann geht’s direkt ins Bett. Das Beste: Da die Enzyme so gut nachwirken, ist es kein Weltuntergang, wenn man mal einen Tag auslässt, weil man selbst krank oder verhindert ist. Zur Not kann man sie dem Hund auch einfach mal nur schnell auf die Zähne schmieren, wenn die Zeit zum richtigen Putzen fehlt. ​Das Ergebnis: Mein Hund hat eigentlich keinen Zahnstein, nur an einem Zahn war mal ein ganz leichter Ansatz zu sehen. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Stelle durch das Putzen sogar wieder heller wird! Ob das jetzt nur an den Enzymen oder auch an der Zahnbürste liegt, ist schwer zu sagen, aber die Kombi wirkt jedenfalls Wunder. ​Fazit: Wer seinem Hund wirklich was Gutes tun will und eine Zahnpasta sucht, die mehr macht als nur gut zu riechen, sollte hier zugreifen. Ich bin restlos überzeugt!

Works really well and my kitten loves the poultry flavour! He had some bad breath and I noticed some red along his gums, so I thought I’d see if he would like this toothpaste and/or tolerate having his teeth brushed with some soft cat toothbrushes. We discovered he likes having his teeth brushed and really likes this toothpaste. As soon as he sees the tube, he thinks he’s getting a treat. The bad breath is gone, and his gums are looking much better: less red, more healthy pink. We aim to brush daily, but we miss some days. Still, the improvement in his oral health in less than 2 weeks is impressive. Hopefully it will prevent or reduce future dental treatments at the vet. This Virbac Enzymatic toothpaste will continue to be a part of his regular health routine. If you have a kitty who has bad breath or dental issues, this may be worth a try (the enzymes in the toothpaste work even without brushing!).
