E-01345 Impact XPS™ Mag Boost

I use a DeWalt impact driver almost every day, and even with that, this Makita Mag Boost works great. The magnet is very strong and holds the screws much better than I expected. At first I thought this was just another small tool accessory, but now I use it all the time. It helps a lot when working fast or in tight places because the bit feels more stable and I drop way fewer screws. It saves time, makes the job cleaner, and honestly makes the work easier. These small upgrades make a big difference when you use your tools daily. I tried cheaper similar options before and they didn’t feel as solid. This one feels stronger, better made, and much more reliable. Check the video and photos I uploaded so you can see how it works in real use. Small tool, but definitely worth having in the toolbox if you work with an impact driver often.

Low price and works. Smaller than I thought but that is a good thing. Makes putting wood screws in tight places much easier. Fit all different types of bits I tried some were wobbly but held screws okay. ✅ would buy another

Love these. Magnetize the bit and holds screws with ease. Purchase more than you think you need. I will say, it is a few parts pressed together to make one. So the durability is already as long as you don’t bang around the bit during install.

This is extremely helpful when doing drywall and any other project where you are by your self. It seems to work pretty well at holding a screw in place when i'm only using one hand. It can be a bit annoying when it catches on something and tries to come off. this works really well in open spaces where you can get to everything easy. it doesn't make whatever you are using any bulkier because it is pretty small. For what it is and how cheap it is this is an great buy would buy again.

Unlike their previous Mag Booster, the plastic one that is awesome, this is terrible. Really, don't even bother. First most bits won't even fit into it. It doesn't have the standard hex shank hole, rather it has 3 detents in a pretty small hole. I struggle to find a bit that will even make it past the detents. Next, they don't grip well on long bits. When they do fit, the center of gravity is off and it causes a terrible wobble during driving. The detents will only work on a shank, and long impact bits are tending to go slim in the middle. While they grip a short bit (the shank is in the right spot), not enough of the shank will be left for the tool or bit holder. See pic. My pics show makita impact golds, makita impact xps, and milwaukee shockwave bits. If you can't fit these, you are missing out on your own customers & a lot of pros. The exit hole is also very small. I think the intention is to only let a small part of the bit emerge, keeping the magnet close to the fastener. But its REALLY small, so the bit doesn't fully sit into many fasteners. I tried to look for product videos, to see what they were intending, but I can't find anything worthwhile. The new XPS bits are so good, but then they throw in this piece of garbage. Makita, what were you thinking?
