Works as expected - good price/value

This is the absolute best replacement. I know it’s a little expensive but at last over a month if you add 1 tablespoon of vinegar to each jug, white vinegar. It will stop the mineral deposit buildup and the pink slime that develops after a few weeks on the wick.

Based on other reviews for this 1.5" version and an excellent video of this used in the EVAP40, I decided to try it and it works well. It's thicker than the 1" width ones that come with the EVAP40, but it fits length and height wise. Using it about two weeks and it does good job of wicking up the liquid and I believe better than the 1" thick ones. At low fan setting, the EVAP40 pushed my humidity level to 60% in my bedroom. I have nasal issues and this helps me to sleep better. It's currently spring time in Colorado, but I prefer my humidity level between 50 to 60% while sleeping.

These are the best filters I have found for my Vornado evaporative humidifier. Vornado discontinued their best humidifier over a decade ago, they called it their Air Softener. The greatest feature of it was that it pumps water to the top of each wick so that the water runs down the wick to keep the entire wick saturated. No need to ever flip the filters, and these filter last the entire winter. I do use the Essick bacteriostatic solution with each tank refill, and never have to flip filters or clean the humidifier. Too bad that Vornado stopped making this unit, it is far superior to the new versions. Mine has been going strong since 2008. Isn't that always the way?

Order every year, does the job it is supposed to do.

I use this to humidify my large bedroom and master bath. Not large enough for a whole house as advertised which isn't unusual for most stand alone whole house humidifiers. Buy a larger unit than you think you need, it's easy to dial back the humidity but if there's not enough output for your space it's useless. It works great. I love it because: the first humidifier/wick I ordered was defective and the company stood behind their product and sent a replacement ASAP with extra filters! I like it because it takes 2 days before I fill it again. It's very quiet. I like that the tanks do not have caps and washers - it's just the patented tank that magically works. The motor is on TOP and a tray is on the bottom so if there are problems the water doesn't spill/leak even when I move the unit. It is easy to clean and maintain. Very light when empty of water. Excellent product. Be sure the wicks are soft when you use them or the unit will not put out humidity. I have a small humidity gauge in my bedroom to check. This unit doesn't show the percentage of humidity it is putting out (it uses dials) - I didn't want digital controls because my cat plays and turns digital controls off and on to feel wind in his whiskers.

They hold up well

I have the industrial size humidifier, for 1845 converted brick mill lofy and it’s very dry in the winter. The humidifier itself is so simple and easy to clean, but you need to change the works out and I put them on subscription. The humidifier is so easy to clean, but you definitely want These wicks on hand.
