I have sharpened several of my kitchen knives and had a go at one pair of general purpose scissors. The result on the knives was excellent. From sad jagged edges on my veg to neat, thin slices much as I remember from when the knives were new. Getting to grips with scissor sharpening is trickier but I think it helped. This is a bit bigger than my previous sharpener, giving room to include 3 grades of grinding surface plus the scissor section. The extra room that it takes in the drawer is well worth it for the extra stability in use and the suckers keep it nicely steady on the work surface.

Excellent, knives sharp ned to perfection. So easy to use and no chance of anything breaking or falling apart like my sucker one. Scissors part not so great or they were really blunt. Now it depends on the material of the knives as to whether they will stay sharp. But easy to sharpen and quick too.

I own a fairly old set of Global knives and have used a Global steel to keep their edge since they were new. This has become less effective over the last few years. I took a chance on this sharpener as I was reluctant to invest in a new Global steel. I am glad I did it has put an edge on my knives that I have not had for a few years and I can now see these knives outlasting me with no need for further major investment !!! And It also sharpens scissors:-) I am very pleased with the purchase and at the price would highly recommend this product.

It is well made and gives the impression that it will last a long time but it doesn’t sharpen knives at all; extremely disappointed. It looks like the best option is to buy a whetstone and use ‘elbow grease’. Whatever happened to those good knife sharpeners we used to be able to buy.

I realised I needed a knife sharpener when my knife was too blunt to even cut an onion... These were despatched very swiftly and with just a few strokes per aperture, I had sharp knives again. Very easy to use. The only thing I would say is that if you are left handed, like me, you need to be ready to hold the device with your left hand and sharpen the knives with your right, which might be the opposite of what you would naturally wish to do. It would also be helpful if the box said what the final aperture did, as I had already forgotten that it was for the final fine polishing!

I didn't expect much because this isn't an expensive product. However, my expectations were exceeded because it has sharpened all our smooth-bladed knives (and scissors). It can't do anything for serrated blades, but I didn't expect it to. And if I'm totally honest, the sharpened blade edges feel a little rough (rather than smooth), but there's no question they are sharp. Exceedingly sharp. I conducted a paper test afterwards, and the blades went through paper without resistance. It remains to be seen how long the sharp edges will last and how many times the sharpener can be used, but I've put it away in a drawer and will bring it out again next time I notice a blunt knife. All in all, I'm really pleased with it.

I had no idea how blunt my knives had become I will be honest I initially thought that this sharpener wasn't working but it turns out the knife I was using needed to go through the rougher section as it was much more blunt than I realized. After running it through the proper way the knife came out with a lovely sharp edge. I have given all of my knifes a sharpen up and even my scissors too. The handle is lovely and ergonomical and the rubber bottom means it doesn't slide on the counter. I would recommend everyone to buy a knife sharpener it makes things so much easier and safer, as you're more likely to cut yourself on a blunt knife than a sharp one. The low price of this is great considering how much a whole new knife set would cost.

"Messer schärfen ist Männersache" Sagte meine Frau und so begab ich mich auf die Suche bei Amazon und wurde hier fündig. Das Produkt ist wirklich spitze! Ich bedauere keinen Cent und kann es wärmstens weiter empfehlen! Ab jetzt sagt meine Frau, dass ich das Handwerk eines Messerschärfers wohl gemeistert haben muss und ich zeigte ihr einfach dieses Produkt. Sie findet es hübsch und darf sogar in der Küche stehen. Die Messer sind wie neu und rasierklingen scharf obwohl wir neue Messer kaufen wollten, haben wir dadurch viel Geld gespart. Danke für dieses Produkt, da zahlt man gerne!!!

prodotto molto carino e soprattutto dalle dimensioni compatte,perfetto per essere messo anche nel cassetto delle posate,senza dare alcuni tipo di problema ! Ho comprato questo affilacoltelli per rinnovare le lame dei miei coltelli da cucina e sono rimasto davvero molto soddisfatto ! il prodotto viene consegnato in una piccola scatola di cartone, manca la presenza di istruzioni ma l'utilizzo è molto intuitivo. l'affilatore è in plastica ma sembra essere abbastanza resistente, il manico è molto comodo e permette di tenere ben saldo il prodotto durante l'utilizzo grazie alla presenza di due piccoli gommini posti sulla parte inferiore. il blocco di affilettature è composto da tre fessure, una per l'affilettature grezza in tungsteno( per rimuovere quantità di materiale dalla lama ), una per l'affilatura della lama in "diamante" (?) ( per garantire al coltello un filo preciso) e un'affilatura in ceramica ( per eliminare eventuali impurità dalla lama e per renderlo lucido). il processo di affilatura è molto semplice ed intuitiva, basterà far scorrere la lama nelle varie fessure per circa 5/10 volte e noterete subito la differenza. grazie a questo semplice prodotto ho salvato molti vecchi coltelli che ormai non tagliavano manco a pagarli.. Unica nota negativa ho trovato segni di impronte sul prodotto, segno che forse è stato un reso. Acquisto sicuramente consigliato !
