I love this tv stand, and it stands out beautifully in my livingroom. It took about 2hrs to put together. It wasn't complicated at all, and it's just a matter of following the directions. It was delivered carefully, with nothing broken, or missing. It is very sturdy, and nicely built, and it's worth the money I paid. The fireplace works very well, and is beautiful to watch. There's lots of storage for my equipment, decor, and other items. I will be purchasing another one soon for my bedroom!!

The fireplace TV stand looks really nice. It takes some roomy space and time and patience to put this together. However, the instructions were very easy to follow. One screw/piece was missing, but since they give you a little baggie with a few extra parts, it wasn't a problem. I did use glue to connect the wooden pegs - even though it was not included nor did it say to do so in the instructions. I just figured that I don't want this thing falling apart when or if I decide to move it. The "fireplace" is pretty realistic, and the heater function is really nice. each has its own switch, so you can "see" the fire without turning on the heater if you want. I have a 55" TV on top and it fits just right. It is heavy duty, and not cheapy wood. The base and top piece are heavy. the rest of the sides/doors are pressed wood, but looks good. It is a dark brown wood color. Not cherry wood, and not worn looking neither. The fireplace has a 5 foot cord that you'll need to plug in. Hopefully you have a plug nearby.

Very solid and looks great. Less expensive than other fireplace stands in stores I was comparing to but same higher quality. Assembly took some time, but I am an experienced assembler of furniture and this was one of the better assemblies. For example there are many screws, but pilot holes are drilled for screws (a real plus) and all part & hardware are labeled (another real plus). All the screws could be put in with power screw drive except the 6 small screws attaching fireplace unit. These were a little tricky because you need a longer phillips screw driver to get past frame of fireplace unit. To keep the screws from falling off screw driver for this operation I put a little wax on screw head so it would stick to screwdriver. On the plus side it is only 6 screws and Pilot holes make unit alignment & insertion easy. We are very very happy with this item, I recommend it highly.

Ok...it came yesterday and I lugged it into the house. Unboxed it today and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the packaging. All pieces were there and in good shape. The directions were ok, just pics but it wasn’t hard. It took me right at three hours to do this myself but I took my time, studying the directions before putting pieces together. This thing has a good fit and finish to it. It’s a really sturdy piece. Not the typical Sauder stuff. It is kinda dark but like someone else pointed out, when the sun hits it, some really pretty reds come out. The fireplace...well now. The heater puts out pretty good heat. The “logs” are pretty cheesy looking, lol. It has flashing LEDs behind it. But it’s ok...I guess. Tips. One reviewer said “let gravity be your friend “...boy was he right. The wooden dowels just rest in the holes...easy enough to get around, just pay attention. Magnetic tipped screw drivers will make your life easier. When you put the heater in place there’s not a bunch of room to get between it and the inside wall. You can’t get your hand in there while holding a screw to get it started...unless you have an eight year old handy to do it for you, lol. Also...a stubby screwdriver helps when installing the doors. Also, an electric screwdriver will help too...just be CAREFUL not to over tighten!!! So...all in all it’s pretty good. Worth the $350 I paid. Easy enough to assemble and was packaged with care. It gets 4 stars because of the cheesy logs...

This is very hard to put together. I assembled it by myself and it took about 6 hours. There are places where you have to wedge your hand in between or behind pieces to get the screws in, and I had to drill some holes bigger. But, after getting it assembled, I love it. It looks like a real vintage wooden piece of furniture. It's very sturdy and holds my 50 inch TV, cable box, DVD player, DVDs, and VCR (yes, I still have one of those). The "fire" looks nice and the heater puts out good heat.

This is an awesome tv console and it's perfect for the room we put it in. The electric fireplace element looks very cozy and gives us the impression of keeping us warm, although it's just a perception since the heating element hasn't worked since it was assembled. If we had purchased it to keep us warm, we would not have been happy and probably sent it back. As it is we just love the look of it and how perfectly designed it is for holding DVD's, cds, DVR, Roku, and Direct TV boxes. The darker brown looks expensive and fits nicely with the other pieces in the room. The price is great too, when compared to other consoles and doesn't compare to ones offered from the big chain stores.

Beautiful piece of furniture. Absolutely the nicest piece I've ever had to assemble. If I had seen this in a store I would've assumed it was a few hundred dollars more expensive as the woodwork has great detail and it's heavy construction. The equally priced ones I've seen in Wal-Mart and Big Lots were far inferior in quality to this one. It took about 2 hours to fully assemble and the instructions were very easy to follow. The kit also included a few extra screws, dowels, etc, in case you lose any along the way. The heating unit did unfortunately have a crack in the logs during shipping but I called Atra and they are shipping me a new unit to replace it. Even cracked it lights up nicely and puts out a great deal of heat. The picture doesn't do it justice.

The TV stand has a nice design and appearance and the fireplace gives a relaxing, soothing atmosphere. Overall it is a very nice investment and looks great in the livingroom. Construction wise, there are some problems. The unit that I received has several issues. First, the holes for the dowels are all too large in diameter so that the dowels wobbled when placed. A number of these were also much too deep such that the dowels fell completely into the holes. Second, the holes drilled for the screw locks were clearly done with a dull bit based upon burn marks and the rough edges. Third, the glass door panels did not mount snugly into place and thus they wobble where they attach to the side panels. Forth and lastly, the veneer, or what looks more like vinyl laminate, was rolled back from several corners when I removed some of the pieces from the box, ranging from 1/2 cm to a full cm. QA should have caught this and had it corrected before packaging. For the price it isn't bad given that it isn't made of hardwood such as a good mahogany, and it does set a relaxing mood. The unit could be another 3 or 4 cm taller to allow for normal hardbound books to be placed both above and below the adjustable shelves, which I would personally prefer as I have an extensive book collection, but the tops of the adjustable shelves can still be used for ornamentation. For a higher ranged unit I would also suggest a deeper fireplace module to allow a more effective 3D fire presentation, but this does work for the price.
