In a small Texas town in present day, abandoned orphan boy, Francis, is trying to find a place to call home. Francis is taken in by young couple, Maddie and Carl (Breann Johnson and Luke Perry), and their mother (Frances Fisher). Maddie is fond of their new charge, but Carl is suspicious. Fueled by his scheming mistress (Joelle Carter), Carl begins to question his wife's relationship with the boy who is rapidly becoming a man. As accusations escalate, Francis leaves in hopes of saving Maddie's name. Finding work at a ranch, Francis is welcomed in by the owner, Jim (Bill Paxton), as well as his daughter, who begins to have feelings for him. But as Francis grows into being a man, he knows that there is still a matter of honor he needs to settle back with his foster family. Great show
This movie was a real touching story.i liked it so much I had to watch it again a week later.if you like feel good stories where the down trodden come out on top you will enjoy this.

The seller was great and I received my movie with no problem and on time. The movie was TERRIBLE, and I'm easily entertained. I bought it because it was filmed in my daughter in laws childhood home, but that was the only thing I enjoyed about the movie.

Very good movie. No one has ever done a film like this about an women who is older than her soon to be lover. Sweet and innocent love.

There were some positive aspects of this movie. There were also some negative. There was brief nudity between the main character's husband and a mistress and there was also language. I did appreciate how Frances(the young man who was adopted into the family) portrayed extreme self control even though he was in some sticky situations. I also liked how true love can overcome obstacles and what people think or say should not influence how we feel about a person. True love prevails.

A sweet movie I can recommend. No bad language or sexual situations. A family film.

Surprise ending not in trailer, not even suggested.
Although some of the actors did a great job in this movie I did not like the plot line. Everything was good until the end. A kid can make it himself throughout harsh words and treatment. The woman did the same. Luke Wilson did a great job playing the role he did. Even though it’s not illegal what happened in the movie I still feel like the movie should’ve ended with him falling in love with the girl at the ranch. And him starting a life of his own with the plant and irrigation system he built as well as a family and remaining good friends and helping out the lady. Maybe even running the farm for her and building a house somewhere on the property for him and his wife to build a family. There’s just too much weirdness with raising someone as a little boy and then marrying them later, not to mention his stepson being a little boy he played with growing up. I’m sorry this is just twisted to me. It’s a gateway movie that softens the evil of incest like immorality.
