does this circuit have dc blocking caps?

I don't know since I have never seen a schematic for this product. Why not, just assume none were provided and install them external to the board .... just to be safe rather than sorry !

Can this be used with an electret mic?

YES, but only as far as for amplification. You will need to come up with the voltage to be applied to the Mike Element. Might I mention that his board has no easy means of gain adjustment. I think there are other Pre-Amplifier boards that provide the voltage to supply the element. and pads to solder on adjustment resistors to select gain.

What is the input impedance

Impedance is not mentioned, check out the Velleman K-1803 which was my second purchase. mono pre-amp. Works like a champ !

How do I verify operation? I have tried two different boards with two different microphones. I am not getting any output.
