I’ve used this thing for over 5 years on and off for cutting down my art prints, scrapbooking, and miscellaneous uses, and it lasted me about 4 of those years without any problems. This last year the blade has caused some curving of the paper towards the end of the cut, and now I have to put my paper in at an angle to cut it straight. I looked for a replacement blade but I cannot figure out how to get the blade off. It’s getting increasingly frustrating so I’m going to upgrade to a higher quality cutter that has a guide for precision cuts. If you’re looking for an affordable cutter for miscellaneous projects, this is a great option. For an artist or full time hobbyist, I recommend a higher quality one. Fantastic paper cutter! This paper cutter equals the heavy duty cutters that are found in schools, perfect for small business or home use. The blade cuts several pages or 1 page without a problem. The measuring guides are great, just line the expensive, heavy duty cutters. I bought a cheaper one from China on Amazon and it was terrible, didn't cut even 1 page without chewing it up. I immediately returned the cheap one and bought a brand I could count on. Don't waste your time, buy this one from Swingline, you won't be disappointed.
