Yes it works !!
This 2024 summer, for whatever reason, there's an infestation of webworm in this southeastern coast of Texas. Thousands of caterpillars would devour our tree leaves. Not only does it make the tree unsightly, there are literally 30 caterpillar crawling up and down our patio and along our exterior sidewalls. Caterpillars don't bite of course, but they eat and produce lots of droppings. For a while it feels like my patio smelled like a farm with dry straw and hays (guess caterpillars eat the leaves and their droppings make it feel that way) After reading many pos/neg reviews, still decided to buy this Rocky Mountain Goods sprayer. IT WORKS ! Simply hook it up to a hose and it'll spray. i'll demystify a few negative comments: 1. The bottle did come w/ metric measurements and imperial units directly marked on the bottle. On the bottle, there's clear marking for each of the dials 1- 10 settings that corresponds to the equivalent ml/liter (metric) and oz/gallon (imperial) concentration For even more diluted applications (teaspoon instead of tablespoon), there's a little copper piece that you can unscrew from the top of the bottle, screw onto the nozzle tubing inside the bottle, and that allows low level vs. full level adjustment. Again, this is clearly marked on the bottle. I think there's a user submitted video on this amazon product page that shows exactly this. 2. Yes it does leak the pesticide. BUT, only if you tilt the bottle. For me , I had to aim the spray to as high as possible to top of the tree branches, so I had to tilt the bottle upwards, rather than flat (aiming straight, bottle perpendicular to the ground). Tilting it at an angle does allow the product in the bottle to back flow out. However, I think this is expected. If you hold it upright, no risk of leaking. 3. I'd say with decent water pressure 60psi, the spray will spray in a fan-out pattern, probably as distant as 6-8 feet. I didn't not true tampering with the piece at the tip of the sprayer, it appears that it can be removed, but I did not try. 4. I've had it for 6 wks, used about 4 times. It feels like the product will hold up well. The sprayer itself is made of copper it seems, and feels sturdy. I expect it'll last for a little while. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Well made
I tried this out the day after it was delivered. The unit is well made with good quality metals where needed. The fit is tight with no leakage. It couples tightly with the hose and does not leak there either. It is easy to operate and adjust the mix proportions. The flange on the nozzle can be rotated for short spray or long spray. There is only the one flange type. The distance for the long spray is approximately 10-12 feet I would estimate. I used it to spray โWet andForgetโ roof shingle cleaner on my roof asphalt shingles. Because of spray distance I did have to get up on the ladder to reach the entire roof deck. I would like more distance for the spray to reach but I am very happy generally with the quality of this product. In less demanding distance applications-bushes, small trees, lawn applications, weed spray, etc., it should be perfect. The bottle is smaller than I imagined from the photos so you may have to replenish more often depending on your mix proportions. Recommended!

Does not work properly.
Waste of money. I even thought to myself when shopping: "This time I'm going to spend the extra money and buy something that will last me YEARS." NOPE. I should have just bought the cheap Chinese plastic sprayer for half the price. At least then I wouldn't be buying cheap products AND wasting my time... And water. I sprayed HALF MY YARD before I realized none of the chemicals were even going up the suction hose. I found it only works if you turn the dilution dial ALL THE WAY UP. But then the chems dump out in a matter of a couple minutes. So THERE I also wasted about $5 worth of expensive pesticide concentrate. Just buy a new PLASTIC one every season. At least then you will know you are actually getting the job done.

Decent quality, relatively different ml/L than on my hose. MEASURE FIRST!
The flow rate is pressure dependent, and I have no idea what my hose pressure is (beyond "probably normal municipal, 35-100psi")... but mine are different enough to DEFINITELY be worth checking by hand before assuming they're correct. So measure it yourself first! In particular, I got: - 1 through 3 don't pull ANY of the concentrate AT ALL, even if it's just water, so they're unusable. - you lose about 1/2 of the flow rate at 100ml compared to 450ml (~all hose-end mixers I can see claim this same number though) --- My measuring strategy, if you want to check it yourself: - use the mixer to fill the bottle for a couple seconds. this is your flow rate. (personally: around 100ml/sec) - set it to 1 - fill the bottle with water to 450ml by weight (top line, so you can measure smaller changes than by looking) - hook it up and spray for 1 minute - measure the bottle. the difference is your mix rate. - divide mix rate by flow rate to get your proportion. - multiply that by 1000 to get ml/L, or 128 to get floz/gallon. For me that looks like: - 100ml/s = 6000ml/minute - at 5 with no flow reducer I get 40ml/minute - so I get (40ml per min)/(6000ml per min) = .00666... of the container's fluid per 1 of hose water - this comes out to: - =0.00666... * 1000ml/L = 6.6ml per liter - =0.00666... * 128oz/gallon = 0.8oz per gallon The concentration is a lot easier to work with because you can just multiply it by 128 to get oz/gal, or 1000 to get ml/L. (this is not exactly right because at 40ml/min with 6000ml/min it's not 40:6000 (=0.00666...), it's closer to 40:5960 (=0.00671...). but that's more than close enough for this kind of purpose, you probably can't measure it accurately enough to tell anyway) BE CAREFUL with "floz/gal to ml/L" converters online, all the ones that google handed me are WILDLY incorrect, e.g. one claimed 1oz/gal is equal to 4000ml/L which is obviously ridiculous. Just work from the ratio. --- My measurements are roughly: - 1-3 both with and without flow reducer: NO FLOW AT ALL. - 5 with flow reducer: 3ml/L or ~0.4oz/gallon (matches the printed chart) - 7 with flow reducer: 5ml/L or ~0.6oz/gallon (matches the printed chart) - 5: 7ml/L or ~0.8oz/gallon (1/2 the rate of the printed chart) - 7: 13ml/L or ~1.7oz/gallon - 10: 20ml/L or 2.5oz/gallon (close to the printed chart) So I have roughly: - 1tbsp (0.5oz)/gallon at roughly 5 with the flow reducer - 1oz/gallon at 6 without flow reducer or 10 with, but this is fairly inaccurate - at 10 with no reducer: 180ml of concentrate + add water to 450ml line to get == 1oz/gal (450ml / 5 to get 0.5oz parts, *2 for 1oz) - at 10 with no reducer: 360ml of concentrate + add water to 450ml line to get == 2oz/gal (same, but *4) And beware losing about half of your rate as the bottle drains! Raise the dial by like 1 or 2 as it gets below half full and it'll get kinda sorta close, at least with my water pressure.

Just buy this oneโฆ
I use Wondercide to keep the mosquitos out of my yard, but didnโt love the sprayer that came with it. I bought one of the cheaper, all-plastic sprayers and it was worse in that a) it leaked water while I was spraying, b) didnโt spray very far unless you turned up the hose pressure which then made the leaking worse, and c) had some sort of emergency release mechanism which would release randomly spilling the product all over. I debated getting this versus another, higher rated plastic one. This one is twice the price but looked very well made. This one had fewer reviews though and I wondered โis it worth paying that much more?โ The answer is yes! I used it this morning and there was zero leaking. The spray went further without upping the hose pressure. It was easy to use. All I did was put the Wondercide in, attach everything, set the dial as instructed, and spray. One or two of the reviews here mention not being able to get it to work. I have no idea how that would be possible unless they got a faulty unit. It looks and feels like it will last forever. I accidentally dropped it and had no leaks or issue. In my opinion, itโs absolutely worth the money. I just wanted to leave this review to help folks like me who over think purchases like this. Lol.

Great Spayer
These are great multipurpose sprayers. I spray a variety of products through it. Fertilizers, pesticides, and even use it spray soap on my vehicle to wash, spray bleach to clean vinyl siding on houses.

Looks can be deceiving
I have had another manufacturers version of this sprayer for years and love it. I use it mostly for pesticides and liquid fertilizers. This one however has been a bit of a disappointment. Appearance wise, this one and my other doppelganger of this unit are identical. This unit however has far weaker suction... in fact unless the stuff I am spraying is the consistency of water, this unit will not suck it up. Specifically I use Bifenthrin insecticide which has a milk-of-magnesia consistency. This unit will not suck it up through the siphon where my other one has no problems. Not sure whether it's poor quality manufacturing or just a poor copy but there is a real difference between the two... in addition to the fact that my other unit cost $39 20 years ago and this one was $6 cheaper in today's inflated currency.

Hit the jackpot on this spray. Excellent
Quality built durable hose end sprayer with brass parts, durable container. I've tried leading brands with little to no success; the siphoning was just not strong enough to empty contents. This sprayer delivers at all settings using much less water and job is done quickly. I'm using for lawn insects: white flies. Evenly distributed spray, good radius, about 10 feet. No leaks just pour in and go. The dilution markings are metric so you'll need to adjust to your job. Verified buyer. Not a paid reviewer. Would recommend to a friend.

getting a bit too expensive for what they are.
Bunnings used to sell these for about $20 and I couldn't see them there anymore so I bought them here as they are a very good spray.

DO NOT BUY THIS DEFECTIVE PRODUCT
This product is defective and customer service is non-existent. I tried the product carefully following the instructions provided and the liquid fertilizer was not dispensed into the water spray, in fact the volume of liquid in the reservoir bottle increased !! I contacted the customer services using the email address provided in their instructions asking them if they could provide advice about the Hose Sprayer and got no reply at all. I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF THIS PRODUCT AND SEARCH FOR A DIFFERENT PRODUCT WITH GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Great value, simple to use item. Saves money
I use this to spray liquid fertiliser. The ready to use packs of fertiliser that you connect a hose to are very hit and miss. Sometimes they empty quickly and sometimes take forever. So the concentration of fertiliser is too much or too little. With this sprayer you can dial in the strength according to the recommendations of the fertiliser manufacturer (requires a bit of maths for ratios. I use setting 2 for full strength Seasol or similar). TIP; Buy the fertiliser in the bigger packs as it is cheaper and more concentrated.

Utter garbage
Had two, first one didn't suck from bottle, replacement was same, boosted my water pressure slight improvement, but wouldn't pull any lower than 400ml. Do amazon actually test these products? Utter waste of time.

Rubbish
Rubbish no attachments to connect to a hose and nothing you can buy attaches being returned waste of money
