Amazing!!
I gotta say I was a little torn on whether or not to make this purchase because the reviews were so mixed, but I am so glad I did!!!! I absolutely LOVE this! It was so easy to use, affordable, and such a time saver. My daughter wanted cake pops for her birthday, and honestly I don't care for them made the "original" way, so I purchased this. I saw the reviews where people said you couldn't use box mix, that it didn't turn out right, or was not done in the middle, and it had me worried. Fortunately everything went great! I did use box cake mix, and I can honestly say there were NO issues at all. I mixed up the cake batter, and I put it in a piping bag because it made it so much easier to fill each spot quickly so that they got done evenly. It took literally just 2-3 min and they were done! I couldn't believe it, they turned out perfect. If you fill each spot just below the top they do not over flow and they are perfectly round. Also just spray a little cooking spray top and bottom every couple of batches, and youre good to go. The only prob. I ran into which wasn't really a prob. And more likely my own fault anyway was the stick did not want to stay in when I was trying to dip them in the choc., but that didn't slow me down I just spooned the choc. Onto each one and popped them in the freezer to set. We also done some with frosting, if you melt it slightly you can pour it over, worked great! Overall we were 100% satisfied with this purchase, and I definately highly recommend this purchase. I will say that I do wish it had a power switch on it, because the second you plug it in it is on, and remains that way until you unplug it. We had so much fun using this, it's such a cute color, and arrived quickly.

Easy and perfect spheres the first time!
Super easy! I used box cake mix and even modified with flax eggs for my egg allergy son. And they came out perfect! They are about the size of a quarter round. I followed directions- made sure everything was prepped first and then heated up maker. I used a bag to pipe in batter. They came out perfect spheres on the first try! I experimented with 3 or 4 minutes and still had same results. Mine were a little air inflated though which could be due to me not using eggs. But still very happy with the result!!

Perfect cake pops!
First off, this mini cake pop maker is a life saver! I used to make cake pops the traditional way with crumbled cake and frosting, then followed by rolling them into balls but that whole process took far too much time so I decided to invest in this machine. With this machine I don't have to worry about the consistency of the cake pop and the frosting (when it's too moist the cake pop will break through the lollipop stick or it can sometimes break when you coat your chocolate due to the weight- very frustrating!). The first time I used this machine, I used brownie mix and it turned out to be a disaster. The brownies would stick on the non sticking plate even though I rubbed/sprayed cooking spray on it every single time. The second time I used the cake mix box sold in stores and they came out to be perfect! Greasing the plates were not required because they popped right out and in perfect shape! When I poured too much cake batter into the maker, it'd overflow and leave extra cake scraps but it's easy to remove. Some of the balls had "Saturn" rings around it and I kept it that way without trimming the edges because it wasn't too visible and it kind of gave the cake pop a natural lollipop look to it. In the end I coated my cake balls with Wilton Candy Melts which can be purchased in Walmart, Michaels, or Joanns. Pros: Easy to use Easy to clean Makes the cake pops extremely fast! (3-5 minutes for a batch) Cons: Machine gets extremely hot so make sure to touch the handle for open and close access Overall my experience with this machine was good. I wasn't too happy with this machine at first because my pops failed (with the brownie mix).. but practice makes perfect right? They came out perfect the second time (as shown in my pictures when I used cake mix) so don't be discourage if you fail the first few times because you need to get the hang of it first. It is recommended that you do test the machine to make sure it works properly and test your cake balls before you decide to make cake pops for any occasions.

Worked Great - Just can be messy and time consuming
I have only used it once, but was at it for over an hour, so I have a fair amount of experience! I used regular from a box cake mix. First batch, I tried to just "spoon" in the mixture. That was a disaster.... it just took too long, and the first ball or two rose too quickly, so when I closed the lid, it smeared everywhere. No worries - easy to clean up!! I poured the rest of the cake mix into a zip lock bag, and cut the corner, to have a more controlled pour. Filling moved quickly (just don't squeeze the bag too hard, or it'll pop open and you'll have a bigger mess on your hands). As this was our first time, we just ate them as cake balls - no sticks, nothing iced/coated. They were delish!!! So not sure how they would hold up to being dipped in coating. Of course, I used regular boxed mix, so that stuff isn't made to be fully iced. There are a few recipes in the instruction booklet. I may try those later on. I only gave this a 4 star, because the balls are small (think of a quarter, if it were a ball) and it was extremely time consuming, even "piping" the batter into the holes. 9 balls just isn't much at once. They do cook quickly - 4ish minutes each round. But that means you have to pay attention to them. I did it by myself, which was fine. But next time, I'll have a family member help. I can pipe in the batter - they can pop the balls out when done. Nothing stuck - it all came out clean. Even any spills or over-fills! I didn't have to spray it before use either. Not sure how that'll hold up for future uses. Overall, I do recommend this, esp for those who don't want to do the "traditional" cake pops (which are way too sweet to me!!!). I think these would be cute for some themed desserts, such as spaghetti and meatballs or similar.

No regrets great purchase
I was concerned this would be complicated or i would need a special recipe due to a review we saw on here but in the end there was nothing easier to use. Here is what we did, we got a box of cake mix ingredients needed were eggs water and oil, pluged in the machine so it had time to heat, and in a bowl mixed the ingredients, we thene put everything in an empty water bottle with a sport drink top to make it easier to pour, we sprayed a bit of oil in the molds of the machine and started filling them, 3 to 5 min later we opened it amd theye were perfectly cooked , however the first 3 i did had the time to expand by the time we filled the 6 others and closed the machine so there was some mix that got out of the mold, we just peeled of the extra and still had a ball, second time we put the mix in the machine faster and they came out even more perfect, took us about 30 min to cook a whole box of cake mix, by the time the next batch was ready the previous one was alrwady eaten, we were able to pile up the last 4 or 5 batches for a nice pic, Now the top part does not cook as much cause it takes time to expand and touch the heated mold, but if you want the cake to be a golden brown all around all you got to do is open the machine 2 minutes in spin the cake over and let cook with the top open for another 2 minutes. These cake balls are prety small i would say the size of a quarter. Personally we ate theme with no icing or anything almost like doughnut balls. We also tried sticking a peice of chocolate inside before closing the top part and it works great the chocolate fell the the center and the cake puffed up all around it. As for the cleaning nothing a small peice of damp paper towel cant fix just had a few drops of oil that leaked the back of the machine. Hope this helps ppl who are hesitating on buying this.

I'm still shocked at how easy and good these are
I bought this mostly because, in quarantine, it's really hard not to just eat junk all the time. It's too hot to bake now, and I just can't order tons of cookies online (can't afford it and they are SO much worse for you), so I thought I'd try this. I bought the Babycakes Mini Cake Pop Maker from Amazon Warehouse, so I got it for a smidge more than $12. The box was cut up and completely destroyed, but all the parts and papers were there, and there wasn't a single scratch on the maker itself. (Previous customer seems to have cut out the front panel with a knife--maybe for a display or to get a rebate of some kind?) First time I used the vanilla cake recipe. I'm moderately competent with cakes, so I comfortably halved the recipe, used whole wheat flour, and added cocoa. Smart, right? But they turned out great! Today I tried a donut hole recipe from lovefromtheoven, which was a good recipe except for a HUGE error: 1 TEASPOON baking powder, not a tablespoon! A Tbs is way too much for such a small amount of flour, and it would have tasted horrid. From what I've read and seen, a good recipe for this machine has about 25% less liquid than a runny cake batter. I'll try to remember to update this after I've experimented with some of my own recipes, but basically, you need more of a muffin batter consistence (but not sure about fresh fruit would in this machine). I used a disposable piping bag (which of course I haven't disposed of yet) with the 2a tip (which only know because I looked it up). The tip was much better for me than just snipping a bag would have been because it didn't stretch and helped preserve my bag for another use. The attached picture shows what's left after Spouse started snacking. Didn't have enough confectioners sugar, and they needed a little more oomph, so I made a glaze with regular sugar, cinnamon, and a drizzle of water and milk, then dredged the holes quickly in the bowl before putting them on the rack to drip. I consider this a highly successful purchase.

Taste great and so easy to use
I don’t like traditional cake pops so these are perfect! I’ve used a couple different recipes and they’ve all turned out great. It’s more like a donut rather than a cake pop and so far the donut recipes I’ve used have worked great! It’s small and easy to store. Cake pops come out easily. Just getting the right amount is a little tricky but it’s easy to clean any over spills.
