ACV Prevents Colds! The Reviews Are True!
I read on Pinterest that undiluted Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) with the "mother" - like Bragg's ACV that you can find in the supermarket - helps prevent colds by balancing your body's pH level, thus helping your body fight off the virus better. With my experience with taking ACV, this proves to be true. > Edit Oct 2017: It seems there are conflicting reports online now about if it is even true you can (or should) affect your body's pH level. I'm no scientist or researcher; I'm just a person that has used this product and enjoys how it keeps the colds away for me personally for 4 years now. So here is my disclaimer that the pursuit of scientific truths is thankfully an ongoing one and that you should always take reviews online with a grain of salt. Please feel free to do your own research on how ACV affects the body! And feel free to comment on my review to share anything you've learned as I think we'd all like to know. Now back to my original review: THE SCIENCE I'll make this short, but a quick google will tell you the same: Your blood's pH ranges from acidic to alkaline. Healthy bodies tend to be a bit more alkaline, while health problems tend to mean your blood is more acidic instead. Research shows that the body needs to be more alkaline to be able to heal itself better. That's where ACV comes in; despite tasting acidic, it actually helps alkalize your body, thus helping you heal better. MY EXPERIENCE WITH ACV I'll let you know that I was pretty skeptical when I first started trying ACV. I was feeling that classic dry sore throat that comes before a cold, bought some Bragg's, and would force down a disgusting diluted formula of ACV in the morning and at night before bed. And it worked! My sore throat did get worse (wow, I hate sore throats), but after it was gone, I wasn't left with a miserable cold! Each dose had 2 Tb of ACV. I read that diluting it was important because it's harsh on your teeth, so I also used a straw to drink the mix to help it get to my throat faster. I used the recommended 2 Tb of ACV, added a little hot water, a little lemon juice, and a lot of honey. It didn't help disguise the taste much; I found I still needed a chaser right after. I also tried it in a larger cup of lemon tea, hoping more water would help the taste. It tasted more like apple cider, but was still too sour and I felt like I was dragging out the punishment since I now had a larger cup to drink. Eventually, my go-to poison was to just make it shot-sized to get it over with and use a chaser after. Unfortunately, the experience no matter how I took it always left me with a minor sour stomach - not enough to feel nauseous but my stomach just felt a bit acidic inside - and vinegar burps. YUCK. Later in the year, when I felt another cold coming on, my boyfriend eventually did too. So, he started taking ACV with me and is now a believer as well. He preferred the more diluted "drink" with a straw though, and only experienced vinegar burps every now and then but never had a sour stomach. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PRODUCT Now, I can say those dark days are over! (THANK GOODNESS!) Thanks to these pills, we are able to keep the colds away with little suffering. As others mentioned, you can smell the vinegar upon opening the bottle, but not when the bottle is closed, and the pills have a slight vinegar taste to them. The taste doesn't bother me at all since I'm drinking it with water as I would with any pill, but my boyfriend scrunches his nose every time he has to. He also thinks they're pretty large capsules, but I don't have a problem with the size. I provided a photo comparing a couple to a Tylenol capsule for reference. The bottle recommends taking one to two capsules as a supplement with every meal, but I take two in the morning and two before bed and find them to be just as effective as drinking the liquid-acid, I mean, ACV. And I can happily say that since starting to take ACV at the hint of a sore throat, I have been cold-free for about two years now! Amazing, right??? I cannot comment on it's efficacy with stomach issues or digestion, although many use it as such. If I have a stomach ache or stomach flu, I'll take it as a precaution along with some Rolaids since I hear it helps, but don't really notice a difference from when I take Rolaids alone. I also can't attest to the other conditions people review about, although they make it sound like ACV is a miracle supplement: weight loss, acne, allergies, rosacea, back pain, yeast infections, congestion, cramps, arthritis, and more. Everyone is different though so you just have to see what works for you. It's a supplement, so I personally don't worry about popping a few in whenever I need to, although it means I go through a bottle faster than I would like, especially when there are others that take it too. TIPS Make sure you take it as soon as you even THINK you're getting a pre-cold sore throat. This will reduce your chances of the virus spreading and you getting to the "I have a cold and am totally miserable" stage. Take it if someone in your household has a cold coming on. If my boyfriend has a cold, I start taking the pills at the same time to help my body fight against getting it from him. So far, it has worked. Take it even if you're in the middle of the cold! It'll help your body fight it off faster, give you some energy, and (supposedly) help with digestion. DO NOT use hot or warm liquids to wash it down. The capsule will melt and you'll be eating powdered acidic evil. My boyfriend learned that the hard way (LOL-- I mean... Aww).

Natural and Convenient
I have been using NOW Supplements Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules for a while now, and I am thrilled with the results. As someone who values natural health solutions, these capsules have become an essential part of my daily routine. What sets these capsules apart is the fact that they are derived from the fermentation of sweet apple cider. This natural process ensures that the apple cider vinegar maintains all its beneficial properties, including the presence of acetic acid and other valuable nutrients. I find the capsules to be a convenient alternative to liquid apple cider vinegar. They eliminate the need for measuring and mixing, making it much easier to incorporate into my busy lifestyle. The 450 mg dosage per capsule is just right, providing me with all the goodness of apple cider vinegar without any hassle. Since using NOW Supplements Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules, I have noticed a positive impact on my digestion and metabolism. They are known to support healthy weight management and blood sugar levels, and I can attest to their effectiveness in this regard. The capsules are vegetarian-friendly, which is a bonus for those following a plant-based diet like me. The 180 veg capsules in each bottle offer great value, lasting me for an extended period. I appreciate that these capsules are free from unnecessary additives and fillers. The quality and purity of NOW Supplements' products have always impressed me, and these apple cider vinegar capsules are no exception. Another advantage of these capsules is that they spare me from the strong taste of liquid apple cider vinegar. Some people find the taste unpleasant, but with the capsules, I can enjoy all the benefits without any discomfort. In conclusion, NOW Supplements Apple Cider Vinegar Capsules have become a staple in my natural health regimen. They are an easy and effective way to harness the power of apple cider vinegar without the taste or mess. I highly recommend these capsules to anyone looking to support their overall well-being and incorporate the goodness of apple cider vinegar into their daily routine.

Worked for reflux, yeast overload, gut rot, tonsil problems, etc
I was weary about using ACV to treat reflux, I thought it would hurt, it doesn't. I can't handle drinking it as a liquid so I tried the pills. They do smell in the bottle, but you won't taste it going down, and you won't really taste it later on. A few times I tasted a little bit of vinegar taste when I burped, but it wasn't painful. I love these for that feeling you have when you overeat. Gut rot: if you have had this you know it's the worst feeling. These are my go to product for gut rot. I take 2-3 with some water, or preferably something else like powerade or vitamin water, and within an hour I am usually feeling better. Yeast problems: I've had problems with yeast overload on my body for a while, and these did the trick when taken daily on my already messed up digestive system. It took about a month for me to really feel well, and the first two weeks I got headaches but that went away, and I only got them when I knew I had a yeast problem. The yeast problem in my gut is gone. When it was helping me cleanse my body I did notice my tinnitus worsened and I wanted to stop, but I didn't and I am glad I stuck through because all of that stopped and now I know it was only because it was clearing about the bad things in my body. I have also had chronic tonsil problems. I get tonsil stones. I did at least. I would get them a few times a week, and adding this to my routine of peroxiding my ears, wallys ear oil, and these pills, I haven't had a tonsil stone in 2 years. I have no gallbladder which is one of the main reasons I am prescribed prevacid daily, otherwise I get horrible acid. I have not stopped taking the prevacid but I do take it much less, sometimes I end up taking both these pills and the prevacid together because I waited so long I wanted fast relief. If taken with meals this could probably all be prevented. These pills are easy to swallow, I hate swallowing pills, and I especially hate capsules, but they are not too big, and they go down easily. This is my favorite brand and I will not switch, I stick with what works. I would recommend this product to anyone with any of the above issues, as well as anyone who has heard of the other many benefits to ACV. Try it out, it's really a miracle in a bottle.

Apple Cider Vinegar - smells icky but seems to work1
Okay so, I want to drink Apple Cider Vinegar but I cannot stand the smell of it. The only reason I am giving these 4 stars is because they have a strong smell still even in the capsules. This may be something that NOW (the brand) cannot help or any company can help - so I'll see how these react in my system and in a month if I feel even better I'll raise to a 5 star. I have only been on these for a week but it's enough to know that my stomach is not upset by them and I feel I am having better bowel movements as well as a bit more energy. I don't know about weight loss...has anyone experienced it from Apple Cider Vinegar? I keep hoping these will clear my nasal passages because I have been dealing with a runny nose ever since I moved to Vegas (where it's dry so I'm not sure why my nose is running). Allergies maybe? Anyway, I know ACV has a lot of health benefits. I will report back as to if this brand is outstanding, if so I'll raise the stars. So far? Pretty good!

More convenient than liquid ACV, more effective than the gummies
Let me start off by saying there is no doubt that these capsules actually contain apple cider vinegar. As soon as you open the bottle you are hit with the smell but it is not so overwhelming that you will not want to take the capsules. They do not have a taste as you will find with some of the gummies on the market, but I feel it is just as effective as the liquid but without the hassle of either diluting with water or making sure to wash your mouth out afterwards to avoid tooth erosion. It was also easy to add this into my morning vitamin routine. I take one in the morning with breakfast and one at lunch while at work. It say you can take them up to three times a day, there are 180 capsules per bottle which is a great amount for the price and they will last you for a while. I usually do not take with dinner as I sometimes have kombucha. I am about to order my second bottle now and I look forward to making more progress in my #HealthyGirlEra.

great for high blood pressure!
This has been surprising effective for lowering my occasional high blood pressure. I take a low dose of prescription amlodipine (5 mg) which usually controls my blood pressure. However, sometimes when I eat a salty meal or have had a stressful day, my pressure rises a little too high and causes headaches. I use a good blood pressure monitor and check my pressure regularly at home. I've used these apple cider vinegar capsules about 6-7 times in the last 3 weeks about twice a week so far and it consistently lowered my blood pressure with just 1 capsule. When my pressure goes high it's usually around 138/88 to about 142/90. Every time I notice this (once or twice a week) I take an apple cider vinegar capsule with a glass of water and each time my pressure gets reduced within 1-2 hours. The numbers would generally go low to about 108/68. As a bonus my headache (from elevated pressure) completely vanishes in less than an hour. I've used liquid apple cider vinegar with honey before with moderate success of 5-15 points. These capsules work even better and I don't have to tolerate the horrible taste of the vinegar. Another great thing here is that you get 180 capsules which should last for a few months. Also, unlike liquid vinegar, these are easy to take with you when not at home. I'm wondering if this can substitute for prescription medicine. I'm afraid to try because when I forget to take my medicine (before bed) I wake up in the middle of the night with a headache which reminds me that I forgot. Although this may have many health benefits people who take insulin must be cautious. Taking apple cider vinegar along with insulin might cause potassium levels in the body to be too low. For those who are having lots of side effects from prescription medicine perhaps this may help you reduce or eliminate it. However, you should first consult with your doctor which I'm also planning to do. I will definitely order this again in the future.
