An Essential Read for Anyone Working with Microsoft Teams
This book is extremely helpful and thorough, covering every aspect of Microsoft Teams that I needed. Like most of us these days, I don’t have a lot of mental real estate to give to something new. My thinking is – I already have email, direct message, slack, etc. Do I really need another tool to communicate and collaborate? However, as more and more companies are turning to Microsoft Teams, I’m discovering it is something I really need to know.Thankfully, this book made Microsoft Teams a lot less overwhelming and intimidating. Every aspect is carefully explained and made accessible from the Teams terminology to how to use it both internally with your company and externally. The book goes into great detail about how Microsoft Teams works with small, medium and large organizations. It is an essential read for anyone working with Microsoft Teams. Worth the money!

Great resource for those who want clear and quick entry into Microsoft Teams!
I am new to Microsoft Teams and MT for Dummies was so easy and accessible and got me right up to speed and using Teams. The book followed the concise For Dummies format and provided a good overview of Teams, but also additional details in certain functionalities that beginners need to know. Highly recommend!

Strong Overview with Some Information Gaps
If you are Teams newbie or novice, Parts 1 and 2 are especially good. These parts of several chapters provide users with an introduction to the interface and language of teams: navigation, channels, chat, activity, the calendar, files. In addition, Withee introduces users to the basic how-tos: creating a team and channels, managing the team and its channels, and using other features of Teams. In Part 4, she spends a lot of time explaining how to use the call option in Teams. In Part 5, she discusses the administrative side of Teams. For me, because of the organization, I do not have administrative privileges. And finally, I did get a lot out of Chapter 18-Ten Tips for Better Team Meetings. As someone who is familiar, but not an expert with teams, I appreciated the overview. However, I wanted more information about sharing and collaborating. While she does talk about screen sharing in Chapter 18, she does not discuss how to collaborate on a document in real-time during a video meeting, which is possible by the way. In this case, you DO NOT share your screen. And then, she does not discuss how to edit and coauthor. You can edit in teams, in the browser version, and the desktop version. And you will both see each other's indicators in all these platforms. You can then converse with each other while you are writing together. To tell you the truth, I have not found any source that really explains co-authoring from within teams. While the collaborating/co-authoring piece is missing--which is important--the overview is thorough and provides Team newbies with the important language they need.

The One-Stop Source for Microsoft Teams Beginners
This book is a good reference for anyone who is new to Microsoft Teams. It covers the basics as well touches on some administrative functions. I saved so much time by using this book as reference instead of having to go through different websites.

extremely basic
while I expected a simple guide, this covers only the basics of using teams. you get just as much info on their faq online. if you need a paper guide and have NO Teams knowledge, maybe it is helpful.

If you're brand new to Teams and want a step by step guide to get you started... this is for you.
Microsoft Teams is very intuitive and Microsoft provides some great, free video tutorials online. So a lot of the information found in this book can also be found in those free video tutorials or can be easily learned by just using the application. That said, the book does give users a deeper understanding of all the capabilities within Teams that the average user may not be aware of. For example there's some brief discussions on physical hardware (phones, video conference systems, etc...), adding phone numbers and using auto attendants. There's a couple of chapter that discusses administration, and while the average user may not need this knowledge, it provide them a level of understanding about permissions and restrictions within their Teams environment.Overall I think it's a good book for those who aren't comfortable learning technology on their own and would prefer a step-by-step guide walk them through it.

Easy to follow
I ordered it to learn how to quickly build a Private Channel and like to think that I wowed my boss by doing this the same day that I got the book. Well written and easy to follow. I feel like less of a luddite.

Useful and practical resource.
The book gives good practical advice about this evolving platform. I found the book was slightly centred around how the author likes to work, however, the advice is useful. I found some of the screen captures were too small to read to be useful but if you follow along with Microsoft Teams then the book is a good resource to develop your skills further. I was inspired to learn more about the forms app plugin. Worth a read and one of the more up to date resources on Microsoft Teams.
