Pelican 1500 Case With Foam (Desert Tan)

I really like pelican cases. The pick and pluck foam is fine, but easily changed for Kaizen Foam if needed. The protector cases are solid, and well engineered, with some weight for protection. The 1500 case is a great size for so may things from photography with cameras and lenses, to laptop computers and all the things that go with them. It looks and works great. Fast delivery and well packaged.

This is a bomb proof protective case that I use for storing and transporting telescope eyepieces. The case is expensive but worth the money if one wants the best.

I love this case- it's unbelievable!! It's perfect for a scope, camera or other valuable optics, guns, etc. I wasn't sure if it would protect my Zeiss Spotting Scope, which has an objective lens of 85mm. Without the eyepiece, it's 14 inches long. It fits just right, and leaves about 2inches of foam on each end for protection. I wasn't sure how the foam would work, but it works like a charm.The foam is really easy to set up. You just lay your item in the case and as they suggest, you can use toothpicks or chalk to outline your item. Then you can remove the foam to perfectly fit your item, depth and width. Plus you can save the foam you remove for future use as needed. The case is super strong and waterproof. Well worth every penny!!I and I'll be buying more soon.

I purchased this case in 2010 to use for my camera equipment, including a Canon 28-300mm lens, for a week long trip whitewater rafting down the Colorado River. It withstood everything and kept the equipment dry and safe during that trip. The case is extremely bouyant and had more bouyancy than my life preserver, so it would float on down the river if it had come out of the raft (but it didn't because I strapped it down). It is not light weight, which made the hike out of the Grand Canyon more intense than it would have been otherwise and I do not recommend it if you are planning to do any hiking with it. I have been using it as the main storage for my DSLR since that trip and it has proven to be very durable and the foam on the inside is great protection for camera equipment. Outstanding case; waterproof; durable; easy to open and close.

When it comes to cases, you get what you pay for - and this case is worth it! Solid construction, snaps closed very firmly; I'd trust it to protect my gear if it got dropped, and protect it from the rain. I use this to store my Borg 76mm refractor, which perfectly fits the width of the punch-able foam with all accessories after the focuser removed. There is also room for the clamps, the long and short tubes for attaching 2" and 1.25" eyepieces, and one of those little Televue red-dot finders. The foam squares are easy to remove to customize the shape of the foam to perfectly fit your gear. I'd recommend removing them in chunks because it's easier, and then you can put them back in later if desired. Highly recommend!

I bought one of these cases during a special pricing offer. The concept was to use it to house my GoPro camera and all of the mounts and accessories I have collected for it. The choice of a bright yellow exterior was made to help me keep track of the case, and therefore help safeguard the contents. That seems to work very well! Plucking out just the right number of foam cubes is really easy. For small items like spare batteries, I removed a rectangular shape, and use some of the cube-tube sections as a filler/cap to keep them from bouncing around. So, I really am very happy with the Pelican Case. It holds the toy I got for Christmas, and all the other goodies very well, and the yellow makes it hard to lose! The snap closures seem very solid. I hope to have this case (and the camera) for many years.

I used this case to freight a delicate turntable by air. That is how much confidence I have in Pelican. Their cases are absolutely rigid. The pickable foam inside provides excellent customizable protection. Peli cases are crazy money and they are heavy too, so they use a chunk of your 32 kg limit, but there really is no other case that will definitely survive airport baggage handler abuse and still deliver your delicate items in tact. I would go so far as to say, if it arrives broken, it is prima facie evidence of a deliberate and highly kinetic attempt to vandalize your luggage. For my use case, they are worth it.

Es mas caro que otros similares pero la diferencia se siente. Si no lo avientas y lo tratas mas o menos bien estoy seguro que lo podré heredar. Lo uso principalmente para lentes de cámara , los proteja muy bien y sobretodo no tengo problemas con particular de polvo

撮影機材の運搬用に購入しました。 材質は樹脂系なので傷は簡単に付きますが、中身はまず壊れません。 もちろんしっかりとした緩衝材が必要です。 私は緩衝材にTORASCOの物を使用しました。 純正の緩衝材は結構高価で切るのを躊躇してしまいました・・ レンズ等は別のカバンに入れて行き、ペリカンのケースには現場では出してしまうカメラ本体やストロボを入れていますが、ニコンのフルサイズ1眼レフ2台とニコンのストロボ2台がしっかり入ります。 クルマに載せる時も頑丈なケースなので安心して積む事が出来ます。 多少、ケースに傷が付いても気にせず安心です。 ハードケースは余り使ったことがありませんが、やはり外形に比べて入れる事が出来る機材は少なくなってしまうので、サイズ選びは慎重にした方が良いと思います。 また、ハードケースなので重量もそれなりにありますので、持ち歩く時はカートのような物があると良いと思います。
