When an industrial place I was working for shut down, I asked if it was okay if I emptied out the medical cabinet. It contained a couple of dozen packets of this stuff. Now I've used 'burn jels' before...they offer some minor relief for a short time. This stuff though...WOW! You don't need more than a thin coating. Relief is immediate and it's long lasting. I had split boiling water on my hand...thought for sure I was going to have to go to the ER. Within a couple of hours, the redness was gone, the pain was gone and I didn't blister. It is worth the money...especially when you have kids.

The Burn Gel stops the pain and starts the healing. I have been in Safety for 32 years. This is a great product for any First Aid Kit.

This burn cream is AMAZING! Key is to apply the burn cream immediately after the incident. I accidentally burned myself with hot glue from a glue gun and the glue stuck to my skin. Wasn't sure if I was peeling off skin when I tried to peel off the glue. I immediately applied this salve to the finger, wrapped it in a bandaid. The lidocaine in the cream calmed my burn and the day after there was a small blister but it went away after one day. I will always make sure I have this in my kitchen. Gave some to my mom and she was truly amazed how this stuff works.

It's very hard to find any type of burn cream in the stores anymore. I think there is guidance on what to put on a burn and what not to put on a burn and the different degree burns matters too. However, we keep this around the house for simple 1st degrees burns like accidentally touching a hot pan, small steam burn, or a small contact burn, etc. The individual packets work well, just fold the corner over and rip it open. The packets can be a little hard to open at first, but you will get it. In my personal experience, it provides instant relief with the burn and helps with healing. Please don't take my review as medical advice, its just what works for me and it may not work for you.

I've had a few kitchen burns this year, including a baking pan that hit the inside of my arm on its way out of a 425 oven and grabbing the handle of a cast-iron pan that had been in a 300 oven; both times, the burn jel stopped the pain fast, and the burn began to heal right away. The key is to get a thick layer of jel over the entire burn, then leave it there, protecting it from the air while the lidocaine numbs it. I let the gel dry entirely, and don't wash it off for several hours.

If this is put on immediately the pain dissipates and healing begin. Stops scarring been using it for years. Highly recommend this

Went camping, and didn't realize that one of the logs we had propped up to dry had actually started to smolder, and was very hot. I grabbed it. I am incredibly happy we had Burn Jel on hand. Slather that stuff on, and the pain goes away in only a few seconds. It's incredible, and I'm very happy to have these along on my camping trips, and even in the kitchen.
