Not for break barrel air guns, great for non recoiling pistols and rifles!
Revised 5-26-17This is a match made in heaven for a non recoiling gun such as my Beeman P17 pistol and my Crossman 1300 series pistols. Dead on accurate at 10 meters, hits a 5/8" square of electrical tape every time. I love it. The threads are a little course for adjusting the windage and elevation but if your gun can shoot this sight can put you on target every time.I bought 2 of these from my local farm supply store. I mounted one on a Hatsan 177 cal. springer air rifle. It does not matter how tight the mounting screws are, the unit "floats" on the windage and elevation adjusting screws, and wobbles a bit. Not a big deal, it should center itself like a plastic spring returning to its "relaxed" position. The choice of 2 brightness settings is great. At 10 meters the red dot covers the center of the target nicely and the first shot goes right there. The point of impact changes about 2 inches to the right for the second shot and another 2 inches for the third, and on and on until it cant move any more. It absolutely cannot handle the recoil of a break action air rifle. I am going to try to fix it, because it is just so perfect for that first shot, if I can just get things to stay put it would be a 5 star produce. It is cheap and feather weight and when it works it works great. I may have to epoxy something in place. The adjusting screws move with recoil. If you can stop them from moving this is great for plinking. A dab of silicone glue should work. The adjustments are very course so make sure you have things where you want them before fixing them in place. It is probably a 10 moa sighting device. The dot is large. Good for plinking, not for target shooting.

Not bad for the price
For under ten bucks, this sight is a pretty good deal. Like others have said, it's neither very sturdy nor very precise, but you get what you pay for.I broke one of the tiny plastic tabs off of the rear inside of battery cover, even though I had been warned; turns out they're not really necessary though. Also, I stripped out one of the mounting screw holes, even though I had been warned about that, too. I thought I was being very gentle, but I even just a three finger grip on a little screwdriver is enough to strip them. I dropped by the hardware store the next day and bought a couple slightly longer metric screws with nuts and solved the problem. With the additional dollar and change, it ended up costing me more like eleven bucks total. The dot is ghosted a little, even at low power, but the resulting precision is okay for a crossbow pistol that's only good out to maybe 30 feet anyway. The dot is also not quite round -- slightly lumpy in a diagonal orientation -- but still precise enough for my purposes. The sight glass is small enough that the sight is hard to get onto the target right away when holding the pistol at arm's length; holding the pistol with crooked arm at half that distance from your eye works better; maybe with more practice I will get better at arm's-length sighting. In summary: This dot sight is priced like a toy, for use on a toy. For that purpose, it seems like a good deal. Happy plinking!

Great sights
These are great sights for short-range airsoft, pellet, and 22 rifle shooting. I have a couple of these already on young shooter's guns. I like these over other red dot sights because the dot stays on target regardless of where the eye moves in the sight window. Some mirror-type dots move around the sight lens and require you look straight down the barrel. That is sometimes difficult for young shooters. Great sights for the money. The image is sometimes not a true dot but at short range, (up to 100 yards) these perform very well.

I cannot reccomend this for anything beyond 5' !
I needed a replacement for my circa 90s Crosman COPPERHEAD red dot sight, that after years, finally crapped out . It was mounted on my early 2000s Crosman 760 Pumpmaster.Since I had such long and tried and true service with the vintage Crosman Copperhead Red dot sight I tried first the current Crosman 0290RD Wide View Red Dot Sight sold on Amazon . Unfortunately for some reason that sight could not elevate enough to center in the wide view lens and to co-witness with the 760 front sight , so I returned it.Despite being forewarned by reading the reviews about the red dot reticle being quite large, too bright to be usable in low light etc, I decided to go ahead and give this Daisy Electronic Red Dot Point Sight a try.At first impression , I loved the small compact size and secure 11mm dovetail base. The second I flipped the on switch & I saw a large red amorphous blob in the view finder instead of a "red dot". The red blob on this sight will easily cover a medium sized orange 10 feet away.It only gets worse the farther away you get from your target. The red blob completely obscures a 7 " shoot n see target at 30 feet. I returned it immediately.I was really hoping for the best due to the small footprint this makes on the bb gun . If daisy could just get their QC act together they might have a neat little plinker sight here for a decent price.Oh well, guess I might give the Crosman 0290RD Wide View Red Dot Sight another try........sigh....

dot is larger than the target even at 5 yards
This is another one of those you get what you pay for reviews.I got this for an air pistol that was shooting way above the max adjustment for the irons.Right out of the box I could tell this thing would need some work to be usable. The dot gets larger and larger the further it is from your eye. Might not be a problem on air rifles, but on pistols the dot was so large that it was larger than a pop can 10 feet away. Also the brightness is an issue. I specifically picked this model over the crossman one due to it having 2 brightness settings. Both are so bright that it washes out the target. Additionally the thing sits pretty high over the bore. I understand that there are adjustment concerns that necessitate this height. But a little tweak to the mounting and adjustment plastic part could bring this down to a reasonable height over bore.So having blown 9 bucks on this thing and being unhappy, but not unhappy enough to return it, I modified it. The low power setting just uses a 100 ohm resistor and the high power setting is direct to the battery. I threw a 500 ohm potentiometer in series with the factory 100ohm resistor and that brought it down to a usable brightness in lower light situations. (I'll be upping this to a 1k trim pot) I replaced the plastic mount/adjustment piece with one that I designed in cad and 3d printed. It lowers the whole assembly almost half a centimeter and keeps it from hanging up on the exterior housing which was limiting the adjustment. I might throw the design up on thingiverse if anyone is interested.Adjustment and zeroing was difficult before and after the modifications. There are no instructions on the sight or in the instructions that say which way moves the POI in which direction. So you have to guess. This is compounded by the fact that the glass that the dot is projected isn't uniform across the surface. It is wavy. So depending on where you adjust the dot it can be a little or a lot of difference depending on how bad the window is warped.Maybe I got a bad one? I don't know. But I've owned and used red dots from cheapie knockoffs to sig and holosun to holographic models from eotech and I've never had as many issues getting any one of them to adjust for zero as I have had with this. But hey, it was 9 bucks.

Aweso.e red dot sight!

Not worth the money.
The product is ok. At best. Cheaply made. And for just $5-$10 more you can get a way better red dot from here on Amazon. I may not be a brand name but Iโm sure it will out perform this thing. Accuracy is good. No issues there. Just to fragile. The on/off slide button is extremely weak and under designed. Long story short. My rifle was knocked over and it fell on its side. Coincidentally the side of the red dot that has the on/off button. It broke when it made impact. And thatโs understandable. But the button protrudes out so much past the base of the rifle siding. That it was bound to happen sooner or later. Again. Accuracy good. Poor material build. If it was priced more accurately. It wouldnโt sting so bad. Buyer beware!

Not What You Expect
This sight does not project a laser dot nor is it a magnifying scope. However, what it does do is good for targets you can see clearly with the naked eye, but can't seem to get a consistent hit. How it works is simple: you look through a crosshair etched on a non-magnifying glass. Place your target in the crosshair and align the laser dot on the center of the crosshair. Now you see the target, crosshair and laser dot. Squeeze off a shot.If you are varmint shooting this system is good because the critter doesn't see the laser. Also, if you are target shooting on a bright sunny day, the laser doesn't get washed out by the sun.Although I hated this thing when I first got it, I now appreciate the simplicity and ease of use. Zeroing was a cinch. I tried a laser projected dot type sight on an air pistol and decided this was better.Caution: You need a rail type mounting system to mount this thing.

Good and convenient Red Dot sight. A little big through!!
I bought this Red Dot sight for my Pistol (HK P30) and though it look big on the pistol, it look really good..Material is half plastic and half aluminum (I guess) because on the lens part look little cheap but overall look really good and solid..Pros -1. Light weight.2. Works on Coin battery which is easy to replace.3. The power button is very convenient with three modes - Off, low density red dot and high density.4. Good quality material and screws where pretty decently. And require just an normal screwdriver..Cons -1. The lens is not very good.. Plastic I guess.2. A little big for pistol (Fit would be great for rifles, submachine guns though)3. Pricy I guess. Rs. 2300 is very high. Worth price is only max Rs. 1500..Overall, a great product and arrive way before estimated shipping time, though it was an international shipping (from NY, USA).. May buy an another one..

Poor build quality
Poor lens quality (blur image) , Red dot too large, price too high according to product. Price must be not more then 500โน and in short ( Made in China )
User
Useless
Dot position changes with position of eye, hence as good as useless for aiming.
