I have a cordoba c9. it has the savarez 500 cj strings. thinking about changing. what gauges are these comparable to in other brands?

Your Cordoba C9 was voiced, set up, and intonated for the Savarez 500cJ strings. Stiffness, tension, and diameter (gauge) all affect apparent scale length, intonation compensation, and nut slut width. Most strings specify their tension and diameter but not stiffness, probably because there is no commonly accepted objective measure that is also useful for determining the effect on apparent scale length and intonation. If you change from Savarez 500CJ strings, you may need a luthier skilled in voicing and intonation adjustments to get as good as or better voice and intonation as what you have right now. Don't be surprised if the intonation, especially on the G string, is not as good with different strings until you get it adjusted and compensation set again.

Do you have flamenco guitar string in low tension

One of my favorite Flamenco strings is the Savarez Tomatito T50R strings and they are normal tension, but they sound great. i have not put them on any Flamenco guitar that did not sound better with them. Please let us know if we can help you. Daniel Calido Guitars
