Okay I got our first test today on these microphones. We were in the ghost town of Silver Reef Utah ( high in the mountains—it was a windy windy day (25 mile an hour winds) and we were about to give up on recording our daily YouTube singing video. We hooked up 2 mics using the extension cords and splitter to an Android phone. Let me tell you the results were amazing. The mics subdued the wind noise and the traffic noise and brought our voices and tenor Uke out clearly. Buy this product— but you will need to get a 3.5mm-5 tw adapter to convert your USB phone input to a mini plug.Customer service was amazing and sent one to me immediately. I am totally pleased with this experiment in sound recording on a cell phone. If you use a I-phone you will need an we have used the mics many times now. They are amazing. We do a lot of recording in noisy outside venues. The mic cut out almost all the ambient noise and allow us to record live where never could befor. We’ve used them dozens of times and the results can be see on YouTube where we we have over 300 individual posts. Also on Facebook (Nevada Hootenjammers). First, these mics work great and have a very nice quality of sound for the money. They work great for vlog. Here are the problems I have with these, the bag it came with is just too small for all the cords and mics. I feel like I will damage them if I jam them into the bag for storage. It should have been a bit bigger. And I also have an issue with the size of the alligator clips, they are huge. I personally don't want to see a mic clipped to me and I feel like these are just too big. No need for such a big clip. Other than these small issues I love these mics!UPDATE- A card was in the packaging that states I will receive a free gift if I leave a positive review. (picture attached) I did leave a positive review because I do like the product. I did also receive 3 emails from the company after I submitted my review info to them and I have yet to receive the free gift. I feel like so many Amazon companies are doing this and I am done giving a positive review for hopes of a free gift. I would like to give a 1 star but I do like the product.UPDATE, UPDATE... After I added an update and dropped the review rating, the company did contact me and corrected the issues. Great company.

I bought this on a daily deal, and it's been sitting in my camera bag for the better part of a year. I'm not very technical when it comes to vlogging and such, so the 3.5mm adapter requirement was enough for me to confidently make the purchase. When I finally needed to use it, it wasn't incompatible with my camera and recording device (both Sony products). Thankfully, I discovered this in pre-production and was able to snag an adapter kit in a jiffy. That being said, the lavs work as advertised (once I got a TRRS-to-TRS adapter) and comes with a splitter and two extension cords. Overall, though, I'm happy with the mics and sound quality.

The Lapel interview microphone kit is exactly what I need for using with my iPhone and my to be received DJI Pocket 2 camera for Vlog purpose.I tested the kit with my iPhone, the sound quality is comparable with the built-in mic of the iPhone and it is very easy to use. The construction and the materials of the kit appeared to be of great qualities. I particularly impressed with the completeness of the kit, it has contained everything which I will be needed when recording my interview vLog footages.In addition,1. It took only one day for me to received the package after I placed the order. It is just incredible!2. The customer service of the product responded to my inquiry of missing spare wind muffs in the received package immediately, and offered full refund or replacement (without returning the original package). This is way beyond my widest expectations.

It produces a good, clear sound, natural and rich, but one of the mics stopped working the second time I used it. Bad luck? I'm not sure, but this is the first time something like this happens to me in the middle of a video recording session. We didn't notice the problem until I went home to edit and found out one of the voices was nothing more than reverb picked up by the other mic.I'm really disappointed with this brand, and there's nothing Amazon will do since the returning window has passed. I'll update this review if I get contacted by the brand and they fix this problem for me.**UPDATE Dec 18th** a representative from SLINT contacted me and asked me about the problem I had with one of the mics. He immediately offered me a replacement or a full refund to buy something else. Customer service was so good I'm giving the brand another chance, since they honor their products warranty and give kind and swift response to our inquiries or claims.I'll test the new mics they sent and update this review accordingly.

My thoughts:1 - I needs to be close to your body, it doesn’t pick up sound from too far away.2 - I need to figure out a good place to hook it on to my clothes for the best sound capture.3 - it worked REALLY well outside and blocked out the background noise. When I unplugged the microphone you could hear the loud fan for my Mickey and Minnie blow ups in my yard. This would be VERY helpful for videotaping in the Parks!4 - jury’s still out on if I like the cord or not. It seems a little distracting.5 - I think I need to play with it more to get comfortable with it, but initial impression is that it if I’m close to the phone, the sound is the same, but it really helps when I was farther away, moving around and outside.6 - I love the extension cord that allows me to talk 5’ away from my phone!

08/26/2021 UPDATE: Now the sellers are asking me to remove this review all together.08/24/2021 UPDATE: After this review was published the seller asked us to remove the disclaimer which is against the law and we declined. I like the product but not the seller.This is a wired set. There are two microphones, two extension cables, a size converter, two clips, two additional foam covers for the microphones, a bag and a splitter (also has nice cable ties). The length of the cord for the microphones is very long, the extension cables provide even longer length. Hooked this up to my go pro, one mic on the exhaust of my car and the other on my shirt and it did a great job. The microphone are easy to use and the sound is pretty good. Other than the go pro, I also put this on my canon t6i and my iphone. The sound came over very clear and I was impressed. Besides testing this on my car, I also used it talking, eating, singing just to hear the sound difference. My voice came through really well with very little background noises. I was actually in the market for another microphone so this was perfect without seeming cheap or being too expensive.Disclosure: This product was given to me by the company to promote however it did not affect my opinion of the product and I was NOT coached by the company to post this review.

This would be a great value, if the microphones worked. Tested both microphones with & without included extender / splitter cables and picked up no audio (not even muffled or heavy static). Contacted Amazon who shipped a replacement in a timely manner (kudos to customer service), which I've now tested with my audio recorder as well as my computer. Both devices recognize the microphone is connected but still no audio from either? Pretty bizarre given all the high ratings. The product looks good, and maybe you'll have better luck than me, but so far all 4 microphones have not worked. *I'll update the review if applicable given a response from customer & / or tech support.UPDATE: The replacement has a small adapter that was not included in the first set I received. Mics work fine when plugged into it 👍
