Fantastic Capo
I only use the D’Addario NS Tri-Action capos now - they just work great. The grip is solid and holds tuning perfectly on both electric and acoustic guitars. It’s easy to move with one hand, fits securely, and doesn’t leave any marks on the neck. I’ve had mine for years, and it’s still as sturdy and smooth as the day I bought it. Excellent quality and definitely worth it!

Great pressure and Easy to use
Best Capo I have ever tried! It also has a clip to hold your Pic. This works great for wider neck guitars. Highly recomend!

Comfortable and minimal Print
Easy to remove and shift without much effort or noise. I like the design because the fulcrum does not impede comfort or get in the way of my hand when chording in the immediate fret adjacent to the capo. I like the fact that, the rubber is designed in a manor that eliminates false mutes and prevents fret buzz. Premature to say, however, I anticipate, this will be my go to.

Best Capo Out There
This precision made Capo is easy to place over the strings without fretting. It works for me on multiple guitars without needing to adjust it. If you ever need to use it, the adjuster is intuitive and easy to use. It even has a slot for guitar picks. I have been using multiple of these for years. Great product.

A nice compromise between a Kyser and a Schubb
I did some research on capos and decided to give Planet Waves a try. I previously had one of those bungie cord like capos, which was fine but it is a bit cumbersome. The other capos I looked into were Kyser and Schubb. Kyser is great because of its easy trigger grip. It's disadvantage however is that it has a lot of weighted tension on one side so it can knock your strings out of tune. The Schubb deals with this issue by having an adjustable tension spring that will adjust pressure according to the thickness of the neck. The problem with the Schubb, however, is that it can't really be manipulated with one hand and it can easily fall of the guitar. In comes the Planet Waves. It has a trigger grip so technically you can easily move it around the fretboard. However, because of the adjustable tension, you do need to adjust it when moving to a different neck thickness. It might rule out the one-handed ease but it does take care of Schubb's problem of falling off. In reality, I only found that I need to adjust the tension when switching between guitars or if I move up way up the fretboard. Between the 1st and 5th fret, I don't really need adjust. However, if for some reason I want to capo at the 7th, I do need to adjust the tension because it's too tight. In all, it's not that big a deal and it's nice to have the option to adjust the capo. In all, I'm happy. No capo is perfect. You can do partial capos with this one. Another review complained that it created buzz but all you need to do it adjust the tension. In case you aren't aware, this particular capo model only works on six string steel guitars. I have an electric guitar, a nylon and a Recording King ROS-06 with a chunky neck. Works great on the electric with the skinny neck and the ROS-06 with that chunky neck. Since the capo was built for guitars with a radius fretboard, it does not work on classical guitars (or anything with a flat fretboard). The capo will not reach across the entire fretboard and since the cap is curved, it will not apply pressure on the middle strings. It's a nice capo but it may not be what you're looking for so I recommend looking into the other two big hits in capos.

Awesome! best Capo I ever bought!
This thing is pretty great! I have 3 other Capos of different types and They have never worked this good! The three others were two different ones I bought separately years ago, one even has a date stamped from the factory....So like it's basically where they figure it will lose its spring strength over time....I have another similar one....Both have lost the strength to work without buzz...one other Capo came in a "guitar bundle" That was my go to but I felt it isn't the right tension anymore....So I don't like the fact they lose tension over time and I was looking for something sturdier....Something where I am not limited to the strength of the spring or hinge....Since they seem to basically be disposable as they wear out....I found this....The material it is made of is impressive....(the other capos are all plastic and have a hinge, the hinge is spring loaded....They wear out....) Then again The Capos I have were not expensive, they were basically budget Capos, less than $10 and the one that came in a guitar bundle was better made but still it too is breaking down....I also noticed there are grooves worn into my other 3 capos....Where the strings push into the Capo's "rubber" strip that presses down on the strings....So that was a problem since they didn't adequately press the strings, on top of the spring loaded hinges have lost strength foo....So This one seems built to last....It kind of has basically a rubber coating on the whole thing, plus it's metal so it hopefully won't get string grooves like the others, Plus this having the tension adjustment "spring" where you turn the little piece on the end to tighten or loosen the tension....Which eliminates the whole problem with the others I have....You can adjust it so it's just right, just exactly what level of tension you need.....Also I tried an experiment, I put my finger in the middle and tightened it up...To see how it holds....It looks in the tension right now you want it and holds it....You squeeze the parts on the back of it to remove it....But the tension of it against the strings stays where you set it, rather than it just being a hinge that holds it. If seems like it will last quite a while too....The tension adjust part of it is great. I recommend this....Spend a little more and get this which will last a lot longer than the economy types....This is great especially if you have buzzing issues with the cheap Capos....The tension adjuster part is really worth the extra money spent.

I have a guitar that's a little out of whack, and the strings buzz really badly unless clamped down on the third fret or higher. This does that so well! Being able to change the tension is probably key to it, and this is really ready to do that. It is a quality piece of kit, fixing the issue on my guitar (I love playing the key of C shapes at capo 3 anyway). It works well on my competent guitars too! If day is h good value for money.
