Garmin Quickfit Watch Band

It’s not cheap! Call it the “Garmin tax”.............. that being said, the quality on this leather band is far above other “off brand” straps. I have several off brand silicone bands and those can be just as good as Garmin’s own but with the leather strap go with Garmin! I gave comfort 4 stars simply because the breaking period was a bit much. But with the thickness of the leather that is to be expected. Great watch band with that amazing leather smell we all love!

I am keeping my review relevant to the product itself since my original order with Amazon got messed up. The watch band is slick and comfortable. I have tried to find a leather watch band I can wear with multiple metal types (ie silver belt buckle, black belt buckle, canvas, leather, etc). The best part about this watch band is the quick release clasp is hidden so the metal does not interfere with outfit coordination! Maybe a little too OCD but I’m for it. The down side is the price. Garmin has only made “premium” watch bands which I’m okay with only as long as they last as long or longer than the watch itself. If you’re okay with the price tag, buy it. You won’t be disappointed.

For how expensive this is I am completely disappointed. It fell apart in less than a week. As you can see from the picture the little threads tied on the band came unglued and fell off. Why even add those, they are purely cosmetic, if you aren’t going to properly secure them, at this price? I am now left with the choose to cut the rest off, try to reglue or live with it looking like garbage.

I bought a cheap leather band band before this one but it looked, well, cheap. Unfortunately if you want high quality leather for your Garmin this is the only one readily available. I am very satisfied with the leather quality. I like to switch my straps up often to fit the occasion and the easy disconnections of the quickfit mean I can do this in seconds without tools. It looks less like a sport watch and you can either dress it up for the office, formal events, parties, or wear it around town. Then switch the straps back to silicon when I go for a run or head to the gym. A word of caution. While the leather looks like it may last for a long time, the layers delaminated after 9 months of moderate use (a few times a week). If you are crafty you can repair it with some adhesive. I used some fabric glue and it seems to be holding. Am I happy with it? I guess so, it looks and feels great for casual to formal events. Would I buy it again? I think so. But the price and delamination issue would give me pause. If you want a great leather strap for your Garmin, this is the only game in town.

I ordered the chestnut band and when it arrived I was quite surprised. The watch looks like it ordered it from the UT or Tennennsee fan club. Its an awful mixture of burnt orange and cray brown. I thought I would give it a go and let it patina but after months it's still just as ugly and I can't return it.

Genuine Garmin product. Very well made. However the color online looks very much like a light brown and is very much orange in person. I have it contrasted against a brown shoe. If it wasn't for the color this would be 5 stars

Das Garmin Lederuhrband für meine Fenix 6x wurde schnell, wie immer von Amazon, geliefert. Es war in einem Karton verpackt gut präsentiert und mein erster Eindruck war: Caramba ist das schön. Die Farbe ist ein warmes Cognac wie auf dem Amazonfoto. Das orange auf meinen Fotos täuscht obwohl es ruhig etwas mehr ins orange hätte gehen dürfen. Mir gefällt die Farbe aber gut ist ein schöner Kontrast zur schwarzen Uhr. Beim Herausnehmen war ich überrascht wie schwer das Band ist aber ist klar die Quickverschlüsse sind hier anders als beim Originalsilikonband aus Metall. Das Uhrband ist recht dick und in mehreren Schichten aufgebaut (hoffe das löst sich nicht zu bald). Die Verarbeitung ist makellos und es ist wirklich ausreichend lang. Fazit: Wunderschönes Uhrband das man in dieser Qualität sicher bei keinem Drittanbieter finden wird. Die Robustheit bzw Haltbarkeit wird sich zeigen ich werde einen Langzeittest hier reinstellen. Bis jetzt bin ich absolut happy über meinen Kauf.

This is a high quality, premium, Italian leather strap from Garmin. It is flexible and comfortable and offers a snug fit. The colour is a bit lighter than I expected (based on photos on web) but is still aesthetically pleasing. I don’t think I would wear it when exercising because sweat & sunscreen might wreck it, however switching back to the rubber watch strap prior to working out only takes a minute.
