Passed ALL subtests the first time
The Valencia College seminar I attended down here in Orlando, Florida endorsed this book as the correct one to study from. I studied from it religiously from October 2017 to March 2018 when I took the four subtests in one single day. I passed them all, Thank God. I would recommend you all to study patiently from it and pay close attention to every detail, especially in reading comprehension and mathematics. Such a great book for the GKT
Such a great book for the GKT. I know many future teachers that used this to study for the state test and passed ! They all said they felt over prepared . Taking it soon, so I hope it helps !

Very helpful study guide!
I've used this same brand of study guide for Colorado's test and I really like that there are practice problems in each chapter and two practice exams in the back. I really do think it makes a difference in helping you prepare for the tests. ud

It is great for the essay and math
This book was the only book I studied for the exam. It is great for the essay and math, but beware of the reading and English. The exam is much harder than the sample questions. Just don't get upset when you come to difficult questions and psych yourself out over them. I passed the first try, and if you use this book and are a good test taker I'm sure you will too.

Passed First Time!!!!!!!!!
I passed the exam the first time using this book and online help. The online help was great! I knew exactly where my weaknesses were so I could focus on them, instead of wasting time on things I didn't need. Definitely a must if you are taking the General Knowledge Exam!!!

a good study supplement for the GK test
Overall, a good study supplement for the GK test. However, some misprints caused me slight frustration, the most blatant is one of the questions in the practice test for reading. The question asked for the exception: ex: (the following are all true EXCEPT:) But the in depth answer key gave an explanation for the word that BEST fit, not the exception. I hope REA is more careful with their other products, because this is not okay in a professional tool meant to help students pass a test that includes reading comprehension.

SAVE YOUR MONEY // MULTIPLE ERRORS in Example Problems
Very Disappointing. MULTIPLE ERRORS in the example problems given--both in the online test and the printed book. The errors can cause problems while studying if you don't catch the example given is incorrect. Considering this book is supposed to be a test prep. tool this is a huge issue. It does have some helpful information regarding what to expect in the test, however, the vast number of errors make me doubt the credibility of this book as a source to study for the FTCE.
