I purchased the atomic purple backplate and was very pleasantly surprised by its quality and aesthetics. It looks great on the switch, and with the right tools will be very easy to install, provided you do not strip the screws. The product now includes a different screwdriver to the ones pictured in the product listing, and is now one screwdriver base with separate 2 heads (Y & Phillips) that can be swapped out as required. I received the base, which is also much nicer than I was expecting, but unfortunately did not receive the 2 screwdriver heads. After contacting ExtremeRate, they stated that this was a mistake on their behalf, and they very quickly & kindly offered to rectify the matter. I cannot fault the product's quality or the customer service provided. I would suggest using new or hardly used Y-head screwdrivers to complete this swap, as more 'blunt' screwdrivers will strip the screws. Do not strip the screws in the back of the switch - it is incredibly difficult to remove them once they have been stripped. This is no fault of the product, it is a fault of the screw heads that Nintendo use in their consoles.

Looks phenomenal when installed but I'd suggest buying/borrowing a precision screwdriver set if you don't have one as the ones that came with it did start to strip a few screws before I borrowed some better ones. Kind of cool it comes with spare screws, especially if you can't reuse the old ones, but I didn't use them in the end.

In terms of fit and finish it's perfect normally with aftermarket shells they need some persuasion to get to fit, this one drops in to the replace easily the old seams are perfect no edges. The plastic quality seems good. Only thing to watch out for is you do have to transplant over a couple things from the old shell just the cartridge door cover and the hinge mechanism from the original shell.

This item is of similar quality to the original housing and is a simple replacement. The screwdriver that came with it was also of good quality and was very useful.

I got this as my Switch is autographed (looking back, not the greatest idea, was a spur of the moment) and I decided to protect it better. Decided against a lacquer a friend said was easy to replace the back. This back cover came with extra screws, a screwdriver, and instructions, and was easy to replace the original cover. Points to note:- You have to use the Kick Stand mechanism, and Cartridge Cover mechanism too, but this is explained.

I am very pleased with this, it fits perfectly, I had my doubts on the figment but it genuinely fits perfectly. It's a bit fiddly but easy enough to fit. I highly recommend this item if you're thinking of clear nodding your nintendo switch.

looks good but the screwdrivers, especially the tri-wing driver are terrible and will strip your screws due to it not even being the right size for the console backplate. you will need to get better screwdrivers to be able to take apart the console. for me, even after getting a proper fitting screwdriver, the screws still wont budge as they are slightly stripped due to the terrible equipment you get sent. the only downside to this product is the included screwdrivers
