Says it all in the name, biology made easy for the ones that don’t easily get things.

Was an informative easy to read book. I liked how short the chapters were. I wish it had more pictures. Overall I would recommend it as a good quick review of major biology topics. :)

Well-done overview with detailed information on biological science studies. Caveats: - Assumes theory of evolution as scientific law (incidentally, popular theory also once held that the Earth was flat!) - Ignores scientific rationale for other viewpoints and editorializes that faith is required for those viewpoints (also ignoring that faith is required for belief in evolutionary theory) Skip the chapter on evolution or at least supplement with other perspectives so that informed, educated information is presented. Expected more even-handed material; the treatment of scientific theory vs. scientific law is damaging to learners and insulting to thinking, rational adults. Otherwise, would recommend this "Essentials for Dummies" book.

This book condenses biology basics into easy to read sections that do a great job of building upon one another. It's giving me a foundation for my college classes that I lacked. I read through and took notes, and now when these topics come up in class, I feel like I already understand them.

This is a very useful book. I needed to study for a qualifying exam and it gave me all I needed in a straightforward and coherent fashion. Highly recommended.

I bought this because I needed some basic biology information. Well-organized. Clear explanations. Not too detailed. Easy to dip in and out depending on what you want to learn about.

I used this book as a refresher for my upcoming biology courses. Pretty easy to read and doesn't get confusing or ramble off in different directions. Definitely something to keep handy if you are studying biology.

Exceptional.

I would recommend this to anyone who knows pretty much nothing about the subject: like me. It starts with the basics and explains in simple terms what you need to know from the ground up. I love it because I learnt so much.

Full of Weak analogies that often represent a surface-level attempt at metacognitive reasoning. It reads like someone with a PhD who has spent little time with children attempting to explain something to them. Wouldn’t recommend this for a child or an adult. Instead it hits neither mark.
