Smart Door Lock WiFi Gateway, Bluetooth Keyless Entry Electronic Door Lock Wi-Fi Bridge, Nextlock Smart Deadbolt WiFi Hub Compatible with Alexa

I have literally feel in love with this gateway! After purchasing the lock, I read up to figure out how I could lock and unlock our door from anywhere I have cell phone reception. This has made it to where I can be at my office 30 minutes away from my house and be able to unlock and lock my door when needed. I even get messages of when my door is locked and unlocked, so now I know what someone is up to! I would highly recommend this gateway to anyone with keyless entry door lock. It is easy to start with the lock that we purchased and takes a C-style charger, which helped us a lot. We lost the C-style cable it came with, but being an android family we have them laying around everywhere! Currently we use the gateway with our keyless entry lock on our bedroom door, and to this date we have not had any complaints at all! It was easy to incorporate with the system we bought and only took a few minutes once it was plugged in!

I got these gateways for our airbnbs to be able to access the door locks from home and while away. They work great, until recently when my gateway would no longer connect. I called SMONET customer service and spoke to a live person from the start, they connected me to a tech support person via text and within 10 minutes had the situation figured out and sent me replacement gateways. CAN YOU SAY AWESOME???!!! Now a days it’s very frustrating having to deal with customer service that is automated, but that’s not the case with SMONET. It’s been nothing but easy and efficient! THANK YOU!!!

Setup was very easy and quick. I was able to connect it up to Alexa and with some internet digging, able to get it to unlock my door automatically as soon as I park my car. Apparently with Alexa, you were once able to create a geofence for automatic unlocking just by being near the lock. That feature is no longer available but there are ways around it. Being able to track when the lock is opened anytime and from anywhere is a nice feature.

I thought it would be an amazing idea to get this product with my smart lock to be able to unlock my door from wherever I am for important matters, but since getting this device I haven’t been able to do so no matter if I’m standing right next to my door or not. I’ve moved the gateway closer to the door and reset everything, including the smart lock thinking it would help, but still nothing. Even changed the batteries out the smart lock, as I use rechargeable batteries for it, still nothing. Within the app it states that the gateway has a weak signal with the lock, which I don’t understand how as it’s right by the lock. So I have a product with no purpose, as the sole purpose for it is to use my wifi in order to unlock my door from anywhere, but clearly it doesn’t work at all, not even standing right next to it. Which is very upsetting. Because as a bed bound pregnant woman, I’m going to have to figure out how to send it back.

Updated 11/2: My gateway had been working until I noticed I wasn't receiving any information about who/when was opening the door. I found out that my gateway had stopped working completely. I reached out to their customer service (specifically Marina) and she was so helpful! They're sending me a replacement. Updated: Their customer service is impressive and reached out to me about the issue I was having with the gateway. They gave me two options to try out to see if the gateway would work better. The distance between my lock and gateway is OK but I was also told to look into my wifi network. Though I haven't had a chance to try and test this, it wouldn't be a problem with the gateway. I had no problem installing the gateway nor getting it working with the lock and my Google Home. However, when I tried to unlock the door remotely it didn't work. I always get an error on my phone mentioning Bluetooth. Usually takes a couple of tries to get it working.

The first gateway purchased for a smonet lock worked great. I can open that lock from anywhere remotely. Purchased a second lock with gateway for another premises, my luck ran out. It just never worked, The gateway is located close to the lock and the modem as well but can never seem to connect. Can't open door remotely, so useless purchase. No guarantee that this product is going to work but if it does, it works great.

I purchased this about a year ago, I live in Toronto Canada and I was amazed not only how easy this was to install but how responsive it was when using it. It looks good, has many options for entry (FOB, code, key and best of all the fingerprint) I even had friends test the finger print to see how secure it was and it never failed. I would absolutely recommend tis product to anyone looking for a smart door lock. GREAT BUY!

Took me a few times before getting it installed right, but once I did it works great! The metal pin on the keyboard side needs to be completely turned counter clockwise before passing it through the door hole and into the back part. If not done, the door will not unlock...

Easy install plug and play I can manage my lock from any where. I like the idea of I now know when my kids or ex wife unlock the door !! I still can’t keep her out of my house ☹️

Gateway randomly goes offline....then goes back online, sometimes after hours of being offline. Support wasn't of much help-they suggested it is because gateway needs 2.4G, not 5G. My router supports both, so that is not the issue. returned it and accompanying Smonet lock for refund.

I recently purchased a Smonet smart lock and am very happy with it. My only real complaint with it was that it could only be accessed by Bluetooth meaning that I couldn't control it remotely. The solution was the G2 gateway. This is a small box that pairs with the smart lock so that it can be accessed anywhere using the Smonet Next Lock app. I originally had difficulty getting the gateway to work reliably with it going offline/online every day. However, thanks to excellent help from Smonet tech support I was able to resolve the issues I was experiencing and it is working fine now. If anyone is considering this addition to their smart lock, you will probably need to purchase a small secondary router or extender that is configured to broadcast only in 2.4Ghz. Like many products on the market today, the G2 gateway doesn't work with 5Ghz routers or even routers that operate in dual band 2.4/5 mode. I purchased a small travel router and mounted it alongside the G2 gateway and the gateway is now rock solid.
