This book is so well organized and practical with exceptional large diagrams and pics showing the basics to get one started. I am learning so much and enjoy going thru the book step by step and actually able to play the tunes❗A nice assortment of various songs for children and adults ❗I highly encourage any novice to purchase this book,,,It's well worth it‼️ Eventually I'll purchase the next level beginner book by this instructor who has made the Uke for me less intimidating while building my confidence and giving me so much enjoyment, as well,,,,,,Thank You❗👍

My granddaughters (4 and 6 years) use this book along with their Zoom ukulele lessons. They find the chord diagrams easy to use, and can already play several songs. The 4-year-old just strums the ukulele, but the 6-year-old has learned many chords. We bought the book, and the Kindle version, which is just as good, so we can learn to play the ukulele, and also to encourage our grandsons (same ages as the granddaughters). We recommend this book for people who want a simple introduction to ukulele, and the ability to play simple songs almost immediately.

I have three books. And have been listen8ng on line as I’m pursuring which ukalele. I decided to learn to play. I hope the one I finally have chosen to buy I can live with. If I had the $$$$ Id buy an expensive one. So bought mid rang and unlike the teaching video teachers I’m not going to buy a bunch. Plan on keeping the one I get firever. I’m an old lady now I like how this books set up and se3 s easy to understand

Great little book. I bought this book for my grandson, but liked it so much I may try playing the uke myself.

Our 10yo girl uses this to teach herself! Very through and easy to use The low stars are because the pages fell out of the binding easily after only gentle use... and i had to tape them back in. That was not my favorite.

This book is a FABULOUS introduction to the ukulele!!! I have had my uke for about a month now, and no amount of YouTube tutorials could get me to make anything nice come out oof my uke! But this book, wow!! This book had me Playing a Song on my uke within 20 minutes of receiving it!!!! It is Very well written. THIS is the guy you want to work with!! Very descriptive text and many pictures to help you out. I am very sure that a child would not have a problem learning from this book!!! He also has a YouTube channel !!!

Got it for my mom, but it wasn't didactic. She felt the charts were backwards. Other than than, excellent method.

It's great for beginners. The contents are very easy to follow. The disadvantage is you will finish this book in very short time. I think it's a little bit too expensive for this very thin book.

Very helpful for my boy

The author is very talented and pragmatic but he tries to include so many things in this book for beginners that it is unfortunately difficult to understand even the most basic exercises without the help of the videos related.

I learned how to play ukulele with this book! Great for beginners and teaches the basics ins. Really simple format. Very straight forward, lots of helpful pictures for finger placements and great explanations for everything.
