Are there two hooks on each one or do you have to tie one end to something?

There are two hooks, as you can see, two hooks on each one. One is on the ratchet end and the other goes on the the rope, you pull the rope through the ratchet and you can tighten and loosen the distance between the two hooks.

What’s the size of the hook opening? Will it go around a 2” pipe?

No it will not. The opening is 1 1/4" inches.They are awesome though

Will these stay secure with no load?

Yes, until you release the tab, they stay in place. Its solid and tight.

Does anyone make 1/8 inch rope with 15 feet length tie downs? Thanks

They do make 1/8" rope tie downs. I've seen lenghts 6,8,10,and 12 feet.
