This adapter fits perfectly with my MacBook Air, it sits flush and looks completely seamless once connected. I haven’t experienced any connection issues at all, and it works exactly as expected every time. The build quality feels solid, and it’s very reasonably priced compared to other options. Overall, a great purchase that does the job perfectly.

Gives you all the ports you need and provides a headphone jack (important since it blocks the headphone jack when connected). It comes with rubber feet that you stick on the underside, where there are (quite deep) indents in the aluminium frame, ensuring these rubber feet don't slip off and when on, ensuring the hub is flush with your macbook on the table, so any downward pressure doesn't damage the ports. Plenty of ports on it too. With everything connected, I still have a spare USB C on this thing, as well as a HDMI, micro sd and sd slot. Overall couldn't be happier, plug and play, no issues and ports for days. I keep my usb's plugged into this hub and when I arrive at my cafe of choice, I plug it in and have instant, reliable and consistent connection to all my external devices. AND cheaper than the competition. Couldn't be happier!

A great adapter that is around 2 thirds cheaper than at the Apple Store (theirs are not OEM products either). I do have a case on my MacBook Air and to save removing it every time I made a slight adjustment to it to allow the adapter to be used with the minimum of fuss and negligible impact to the case. What's not to like? It does exactly what I need it to do which is allow me to upload my camera photos, edit on my MacBook then store to my external HD

Bought this for my Macbook air as I wanted to be able to attach my midi controllers and audio interface. It complements the macbook really well and as it is attached to both usb ports it feels pretty solid once attached. I've only come across one issue (but I think it's more Apple's fault) in that if I try to attach my superdrive to it I get the message that it can't draw enough power to operate. I've yet to try using it while I have the charger attached though, which may fiox this issue. Very happy overall and it's a well made and solid piece of kit at a decent price.

I recently got a MacBook Pro M3 and needed a way to connect it to two screens to use as a desktop computer with a keyboard and mouse. The information out there across Apple's website, articles, forums etc about how to do this was difficult to navigate, with a lot of different and conflicting answers applying to a range of different MacBook models. I took a punt on this adapter and can confirm that it works on the MacBook Pro M3. It allows me to mirror the primary display on one monitor while extending the display on the second monitor. I can then place the laptop to the side of or underneath my desk while in use and I then have essentially a Mac desktop setup. This is an excellent adapter that solves this problem perfectly.

I’ve had this for a while now and usually don’t review these things because they often die veeerrrryyy quickly. I was going through these at a ridiculous rate at one point and it was costing me a fortune (other brands I have to say). They simply kept breaking / failing because they were made from cheap components. I’m not sure what this is made from so I can’t comment on that, but what I can say is that this has been considerably more reliable and consistent than others I have tried and is still going strong after a year with heavy usage. I’ve used all the ports regularly as I do a lot of sound and video work and you just plug this into your Mac and go. Speeds are relatively fast for transferring, the size is good and makes it really portable and it feels pretty durable. In terms of installation, you just plug it in and off to go. It feels more sturdy than many others I have used and has stood the test of time so far. I’ve actually been consciously waiting for this to fail for a long time now and it never lets me down. I also like that you can have power plugged into it so you can power / charge the laptop whilst working. There’s a lot of ports which opens up many possibility’s for card transfers, mouse and keyboard inputs, outputs to TV via HDMI, USB can be used for external hard drives too which is a life saver when working with such large files on a regular basis - even with decent laptop storage and (begrudgingly) an ICloud storage subscription, I vastly prefer using external hardrives for reliability and quick access to files. iCloud often lets me down in this regard. When the his does eventually fail, which it inevitably will, I’ll definitely purchase another because I have confidence it will be consistent, reliable and last a decent amount of time which means you are getting your moneys worth from it.

Whilst this is a great product from a functional viewpoint, the LED remains on all the time, even when my laptop is in sleep mode. So it drains the battery even when not in use. That's a big flaw in an others great product.

I have two of these adapters- one is used daily and the other still in the box but travels with me for emergencies. It does everything i need it to. Super easy to install/detach, lightweight, and very portable.
