where was the fruit grown?

Unless it was imported from a country of origin like India most American grown jackfruit comes from Florida which has a similar climate.

There are 2 main varieties of jackfruit : One is soft and mushy and the other one is crisp and crunch. I would like to know which one you are selling.

Does this come ripe or will I have to ripen it?

It depends. The first one wasn't so I let sit in the kitchen for a 5 days. The last two were ripen but I still waited a few days.
