HDMI Switch 4x1

My Samsung HDTV only had 2 HDMI input jacks and I had 4 devices I needed to connect. So after reading a few reviews, I thought I would give this one a try. My wife very much does NOT like dealing with remotes, especially when multiple remotes may be needed to get something to work. I was a bit nervous. Setup was pretty easy. Soon had all four hooked up; time to see how the switching works! Very easy, just a power button and one for each input. The front has a light for each input, labeled with the number that corresponds with the matching one on the remote. Switching between Blu-Ray, nVidia Shield, laptop, and gaming console is flawless. One thing I really like is that if you power up just one device, the switch senses it "come alive" and routes the signal automagically to the TV. My wife doesn't even have to touch the switches remote. That makes her happy, which makes me happy. Our TV is 4k, but we don't watch a lot of 4k material. What little I have watched, I don't notice any picture degradation. So I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an HDMI switch.

Once I figured out how this worked it was fine. The directions are not super explanatory but I figured it out and it works fine. It’s not difficult at all to install. I had input and output a little backward which is why I say the directions don’t help.

My tv had only 4 hdmi connections and I needed more at 4K to match tv. It works great though it took time to get it working. I found that after I hooked 4items in it then worked perfectly, then I started removing 2 and now it still functions perfectly. Great picture sound pass thru very good as well. I’m very happy with it

Dead Out of the Box!! I bought 2 of these a few months ago to set up my sons extensive video game collection. I didn't try them until today. What a mistake!! Neither one of them work! They have a pretty little read light that makes you think it is working but no tv in the house recognizes the device when it is plugged into the HDMI port. I tried all of the ports, the remote doesn't switch anything, the button on the front of one of the devices doesn't even work. When you look at the instruction the pictures in the instruction booklet doesn't even match the device in the box.

Just want I need

It lasted 14 months, so that's $1.42/month. Not terrible. Worked fine for about a year then started having output issues on one of the USB connections -- the computer stopped seeing the keyboard, mouse etc. Then video began to get flaky, again, just one of the of the connections, the computer lost sight of the monitor. Not the same computer as with the USB, a different one. So now two of the four connections are flaky. Time for a new, different, switch.

Performed great. TV lost HDMI ports. Used this device to connect to VGA port with audio input from device. It's working great. Sound is not perfect, but good. I paired this with "BERLAT 3.8 out of 5 stars HDMI to VGA Adapter Converter" , with Audio Output.
