XLUX Warm White Solar Lights for Deck Step Fence Post, SST Housing, 6 Pack

Bought and installed in Sept 2017. I figured they'd be somewhat disposable based on the nature of the product and price. I stained the deck this past weekend and had to take them all down - I noticed a few weren't working any more. There's a AAA rechargeable battery inside. I took the three apart that weren't working any more, replaced the rechargeable with another, and they're working great. I like the understated style, the light is perfect for a nightlight on the deck without overwhelming the night sky. Considering buying some more to install in other places on the house.

Great lights at a great price!! I bought these for a back patio / pool area - specifically around our inground pool / with an attached spa. The area around the spa / hot tub is not well lit. These provide the perfect solution without having to expand our hard wired outdoor landscape lighting that we have along the patio & around our home. We used command strips / velcro to hold them around the tub - and it works perfectly. The price point is perfect & are much better quality than any others we've had in the past.

I loved this product and how it looks after installation (See our home steps attached). Installation was a bit tedious but it was well worth it. Instructions to install were well laid out. Fair warning has been given in the installation about replacing the Ni-MH batteries after 1.5-2 years. Looks great for our home. Well worth the price. Why am I giving this product 4 starts? Its all in the installation. The instruction sheet says 3 inches with for holes. I marked them correctly but the screw and plug were flimsy and broke during the install. Also, the screws have to be perfectly straight or we miss one hole when hanging it. I avoided tape as I know I need to change the battery in 2 years. Product Recommendation: 1. Make the screws and plastic backing better. OR Provide an additional 2 pairs so one can replace the same if broken. 2. Give a template for marking the screws. A hard board/plastic template would work wonders (I unscrewed one and used the backplate to mark mine correctly.)

Years ago I purchased a similar set of solar lights from Costco. Some of them lasted 9-10 years! I think we can agree that we will not be seeing solar lights manufactured these days that will do that. So, I have determined that an appropriate expectation is now 3+ years. These XLUX solar lights are doing that for me. Out of a purchase of 16, 1 or 2 are not lasting 2 years, but the other 14 are making it to 3 years with a handful getting to four years. As for looks, ease of installation etc. these have become my favorites. I hang some on the wall and others I anchor to the walkways with landscaper glue. I am satisfied with the product.

Easy to use and hang. Bright light for a pathway. Long lasting with proper sunlight

These lights are great for a porch stairway. They charge quickly even without direct sunlight, and they stay on and stay bright for hours. And they look very nice. But there are a couple of design defects to watch out for. First, there is an on-off switch on the back, but curiously, it's not a slide switch with two positions, as you might expect. Instead, it's a Push-0n/Push-Off button, and there is no way to tell if you've just turned it on, or just turned it off. So you have to go to a dark place and cover the sensor with something to see which way you've got it set. Pretty annoying. A bigger issue is the way these are mounted, with two supplied screws whose heads hook into keyhole-shaped openings on the back. In theory, that's fine, but in this case, there is no room for error. First of all, they don't supply a template for the two holes, so you have to make one yourself. Second, if you get the separation between the two screws off by even a millimeter, it won't mount, because there is no room whatsoever in the keyholes for any play. And it's difficult to get them flush to the surface, because you must have the screws poking out just exactly the right amount. If the screw is too far in, you can't get it to settle in the narrow part of the keyhole. But if the screw is too far out, there isn't enough room behind the keyhole itself to accommodate the head of the screw, because the head of the screw bumps into the plastic behind the back plate. One of the six lights was not functional, but the customer service was excellent, and they replaced it right away.

bought these lights before (4) last summer still working just wanted to add more to my front deck. I like the lighting not overpowering.

These lights are superb. Stylish with a beautiful warm white beam which is actually quite powerful. The lights come on at dusk and stay on all night whilst remaining bright. I've used them on the top of my fence panels and was do impresssed I've ordered some more. They are easily mountable with just 2 screws and take minutes to fit. Do not hesitate to buy these lights, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased these to mark the end of our wall, so as to make it easier to reverse in to the drive at night. They do look bigger in the picture than they are in real life, so take note of the dimensions in the description: 10 x 2.3 x 8.3 cm However for such a small unit, they give plenty of light and appear to charge well even in fairly low light conditions, I'll have to wait and see how well they fair in winter. I like them so much, I bought another pair.

These are good. Worth the money. Cast a nice soft light on stairs. Slightly Brighter than expected. Work really well.

These lights look so good and have been a wonderful addition to our new deck. We didn’t hang them on the fence, instead we used them to line the edge of the deck and the result is brilliant!
