I have a small place Can anyone please tell me if the easel is against the wall how far is the canvas from the wall??

As a New Yorker I do have space issues as well. So WITH canvas attached it’s about 7 inches deep with the knobs in the back that adjust the easel and the wood braces in the front that hold the canvas. When canvas is removed I flip the detachable wood braces backwards to store it between an open door and a wall - the easel then is only 5 inches deep. In this flat-against-the-wall position, upright the easel is on its front two wheels ( as it’s back part flips up) and needs to be secured somehow not to roll away ( I have my door chained to the wall, so it sits behind the wall quite well. One can always flip it sideways if needed or remove the wheels altogether

What is the height when in the horizontal position? As in when laid completely flat like for watercolor ect. or on table?

Horizontal: Between 31 and 39 inches. Good for standing or seated position

In horizontal position it can be adjusted to be between 31 inches to 39 inches. Great for both standing or seated position.

Can this easel tilt forward or go completely vertical for pastels?

Yes. Remarkably adaptable. Bit tricky at first but really simple to change around and lock in new position after minimal practice
