Sabaton are a Swedish Grammi-nominated power metal band who are battle-minded with a historical slant. They bring to mind Iron Maiden's classic songs with a newer school edge. This is their `07 debut album plus their early demos and exclusive bonus material, all on a low-priced 2CD set. They even cover a classic Judas Priest song, a must have. Sabaton are just realizing their international destiny after their 2010 Nuclear Blast debut, Coat of Arms. They have grown over the years, and the Re-Armed series shows this evolution to their new American fanbase. It matches the music quite well. I also appreciate that the lyrics are evocative without resorting to profanity. It just comes across as being far more like brain candy that way. With the exception of the Live album they've released, I've gotten them all and enjoyed them all. I'm looking forward to the next one already. My favorite band since Iron Maiden
I like the type of music, but most especially, I like the subject matter. Almost everything they write pertains to some kind of battle or conflict. It matches the music quite well. I also appreciate that the lyrics are evocative without resorting to profanity. It just comes across as being far more like brain candy that way. Metal Rules
Perhaps the most unique and standalone album in Sabaton's discography. The main difference is the album's lyrical contents, which mostly deal with the band's perspective towards metal music and their eccentric attitude been promoted from their music. Metalizer also comes with a second disc, Fist for Fight, the band's unofficial first album/demo. Metalizer contains all the re-recorded songs from FFF with the addition of couple new songs like 'Guten Nacht' and 'Birds of War'.

Amazing Sabaton
Definitely a good album to have if you're only going to purchase one Sabaton album. It has some of there best power-metal ballads and some of the rawest sounds they've unleashed. A great album from an outstanding group.

It is good, but I found as not unique when compared ...
This is the only album of Sabaton I am giving 3 stars. It is good, but I found as not unique when compared to other bands of the same genre. Had this been the first album I came across, I may have passed up on Sabaton. The songs just did not grab me as all of their songs in the later albums have, well perhaps with the exception of "Shadows". I have no regret with the purchase of this as I have become a fan and Metalizer to me is seeing (I mean, listening) of their beginnings and how they have improved along with finding their unique signature.
