4 Stroke 4HP 1200W 12V 230V Inverter Petrol Generator

Had a few power cuts already this year and as my old generator is 13 years old I decided to invest in this. Didn’t take long to set up and starts well when you get the petrol flowing through, it may not be super silent but it’s a lot quieter than my old Briggs and Stratton generator. I only ran it for about 5 minutes to check it but the motor seems pretty smooth and the power output was stable so hopefully it will get us through any more storms this winter.

I bought this 1200W petrol generator to keep two 12V leisure batteries topped up and provide an independent source of power aboard a canal boat. It has been perfect! Does exactly what it should. I've run the generator for approximately 26 hours, it has started first time every time. Without fault.. The unit itself is reasonably quiet. I can run it on board during the day without disturbing the peace too much. Slightly quieter on ECO mode, and to be honest I've not needed it to be on full power so it's kept in ECO mode. It's pretty light for what it is (15kg). Easy to carry with a nice rounded handle that sits comfortably in the hand. Fuel consumption has been excellent. Plus it came with the relivant oil. I honestly can't find fault with it. Excellent value. Arrived the next day, very well packaged with full instructions. Works exactly as it should, straight out of the box. If you're looking for a portable power source for live aboard boats, campers or just to have in the garage, allotment or campsite then you should definitely consider this one.

These little units are fantastic value for the price. I've now had my hands on three of them, one from another seller which got stolen, and two from nassboards, one of which was a replacement they offered to send after mine developed an issue about 11 months in (first one lasted over 3 years before it was pinched). The output on all three I've had has been clean, so the inverter boards do a decent job, no real audible buzzing from speakers or anything like that. Be careful not to over fill the oil tho, which is easy done on this model. I would also like to praise the customer support I got from nassboards when it came to troubleshooting and replacement parts. They always answered me very quickly, and I was amazed when they offered to replace my unit so close to the end of its warranty when I asked for some troubleshooting advice. You just can't ask for more than that. If the replacement is anything like my first one (I think these are all the same thing from a Chinese factory) it should hopefully last a good number of years at least if looked after. Overall great value genny!

The product does what it says. But do not expect to pick up the phone and get anyone to talk to you. Do not expect e-support either. Otherwise, I would have given the product 5 stars. Buying any mechanical or electronic or software product may have to be followed with help. The manual that comes with it, does not have any phone number to call, nor email. You will struggle to find an e-manual online. You may but I wasn't able to. The manual prints are very small. Some will struggle reading them. The schematics in the manual not helpful enough. All together above make a product... a product is the combination of all I mentioned.

Dose the job in a nice compact package, I've used this to off set power usage in my off grid dwelling for a month or two now , it's perfect for packing power into my batteries when the solar just isn't cutting it. I get about 4 hours run time on a full tanks and will power my heating and battery charger, a Total draw of around 990 what with no issues. As. For durability time will tell but I'm over 40hrs run time and have had no issues providing you keep it on the level and check oil often. As for comments regarding support , I have contacted baseboards direct (an email address very easily obtained) and have had very friendly support from them. All in all a good buy

I received this unit yesterday (Very fast delivery) and I followed the instructions without too many problems. The unit arrived well packed without any damage. The pictures in the manual are different than the unit but you easily guess the location of the controls. Adding the oil was a bit tricky without spilling a bit!. Also the oil bottle, I think was smaller than 0.5L and was a generic plastic bottle filled with oil. The generator started after putting a bit of petrol and looks good. Did not check the 12Volts but the 240 Volts look good. I also wanted to know if this unit can start a house freezer motor but I am yet to find out. I like the unit although a bit noisy, but afterall is an engine!.

A bit disappointed, not as powerful as I expected ( My fault I guess ). It will not produce enough power to run our Karcher Pressure Washer, it just trips. It is suppose to be quite when it’s running, but you could not run this generator if you were on a campsite it is really noise. The manufacturers recommend that it is earthed to the ground, quite common safety advice I believe now, but something I was unaware about when I purchased.

I was a dubious to begin with.....this was my first outdoor generator and some of the reviews suggested that this was a noisy product and unreliable. I totally disagree. You will never find a silent generator, they don't exist! This product is well constructed and portable enough for lightweight glamping. I would suggest a leisure battery to charge during the day as not to upset other campers in the evening. It's noise levels are quiet enough to have a conversation whilst standing next to it. Easy to start and maintain and comes with clear instructions. If I try to think of one negative, it would be the lack of a fuel level indicator. But, hey! If it stops, add more fuel!!
