Like many other's, my washer started filling even when turned off and when unplugged. We quickly turned off the taps to stop it. After looking online we saw that a part like this was needed. We purchased this one because the official LG part would not ship for at least a week. Got this one the next day. Since we had already experienced a leak in the bleach dispenser water pump, my husband was familiar with how to get to the part. Within 15 minutes he had the part installed and the machine appeared to work properly. After running a test load, it was apparent that even with this new part there was an issue with the bleach dispenser pump as it was leaking. It was a quick fix to unplug that pump and tape it up so that no moisture would get in. We were hopeful that this part would also solve that problem, but alas it did not. No great loss as I have been using Clorox Bleach Pods instead of liquid bleach for several years. So happy to get my washer up and running within 24 hours. If the part lasts that will be great, if not, no great loss since the washer is 11 years old.

Follow some of the How-To (UTb) videos on this part change - all have something to contribute, to watch out for, etc. This part worked great. I have had a leak in that LG washer for the past few years, had to keep a bucket in the tub to watch the leak, grew accustomed to it after so long. The final straw was the flow of water went to a trickle and took 3 hrs to run a load. Changed the part, afterwards - no leak, water flow is back to normal, would have changed it years ago had I known it was this easy. Delivered on-time, works as promised.

My top load LG washer (see model below) is about 8 years old and sprung a leak in the solenoid base. This particular item came quickly and fits perfectly. The official LG part is about $150 so this was a massive savings. There are plenty of good YouTube videos explaining how to change but if you have a basic technical skills a novice can get this done in about 15 minutes.

Like another reviewer, this did not work for me. It did stop the constant water flow resulting from a broken inlet valve, however it created another leak in the process. I bought another valve with the same part number from a name brand authorized OEM vendor (not on Amazon) at about the same cost and that part worked perfectly. In looking at the parts, the original and Amazon part are virtually identical. HOWEVER, on closer look as you can see in the photos, the actual solenoids (round parts that you plug the electrical wires into) are inverted. The part with black components is the Amazon part and the white component piece is the original. You will also notice they are labeled the same with regards to the part number so it isn't an issur of I bought the wrong part. Technically, the inverted solenoids could be accounted for and not a problem but it seems they result in a water overflow condition in the bleach compartment (source of my new leak with this part). I believe this part is mislabeled, or is using an incorrect solenoid for controlling the water flow. Regardless, this part does NOT work properly. The other part from the OEM vendor matched exactly to the original with proper orientation of all components. And the OEM piece worked with no leaks. And if you are thinking the bleach compartment overflowed due to a clog (common condition), it should be noted I checked, cleaned, and verified there was no blockage.

Works well only issue you want to consider depending on your washer model is that there is an ineffective pressure reducer on the distal line. It can cause too much water through the line resulting in an overflow and subsequent moderate leak. With my LG washer I simply drilled the holes out on the filter pan (where the bleach is diluted using the aforementioned line) so it drains faster and doesn’t overflow.

This inlet valve was a perfect match for the existing LG valve. The issue with the original valve was that the water continued to drip into the tub after the cycle completed, thus making the laundry load very wet if it wasn't removed promptly. Received the valve the day after it was ordered. The process to remove the existing, and replace with the new valve, was very easy and it works as expected.

Fit perfectly took me 10 minutes to change and price is crazy low most websites sell it around 175$

So happy to be able to use my brand new washer! We bought the machine and had a misthreaded piece (came on the machine already) so had to find a replacement and this piece arrived 4 days before it was expected to so was able to get the machine up and running to do laundry!! It was the exact proper fit (had to drill a couple holes in the side plastic to screw it into place) but works amazing!

Original inlet valve in my LG washer was leaking so i had to replace it. But when I installed this replacement valve, washer started giving IE error msg. Valve would not let enough water in to washer and that's why this error. Occasionally it will make shuttering, knocking noise which was a sing of restricted water flow. I though it would go away after some use but unfortunately it didn't fix and I am now left with this defective part. I replace it again with original (but leaking) part and issue went away i.e. it confirmed that issue was with this inlet valve it self. Unfortunately I missed return window and I will now have to buy it again (of course from a different and more reliable seller).

Ordered this to replace a broken valve on my LG washing machine. It fit perfectly, but like many of the other reviewer’s, it caused a leak under my washing machine the first time we used it. After reading many previous reviews with the same problem, I realized I needed to disconnect the bleach solenoid, and that fixed the leaking problem. We don’t use bleach anyway, so it was an easy fix for a cheap replacement part.
